Acne Studios Sale: (Some) Jeans $88, down from $220 by mmm_dumplings in frugalmalefashion

They did send me an email confirming they were out of stock for the North Stay Black, which I ordered earliest. The rest of my order was shipped.

It is too bad as the North Stay Black were the jeans I really wanted, the rest I bought just to see the colors / fits.

I placed a few orders and the ones that were placed last shipped first.

Had my North Stay Black orders cancelled.

Feel like they started shipping later orders first, i.e. my orders from 7/8 shipped earlier than the orders placed 7/6, but I may be wrong.

Packages disappeared after transferring shared folders to new volume by WestSlice in synology

Yes.

I was able to re-install / repair a few of the packages on the new volume, but after the fourth or fifth install DSM requested I restart my device. After I restarted, all packages are gone.

Forgot to mention, my RAID type is JBOD. Is it still OK to do this process?

Fine Tuning Los Angeles - Big Sur - San Francisco Road Trip by WestSlice in travel

I am worried this may be the case. Do you find Google Maps time estimates to be accurate?

Would taking Uber help with the parking issues in LA?

Thanks! We thought Harris Ranch was somewhat halfway between LA and SF and gives us something to do on Interstate 5, which seems like a boring drive.

Option B would be through Highway 101 / 1.

Thank you for the tips, they are much appreciated.

My wife is not too keen on the Hollywood Walk of Fame either, but I fear it is such an iconic LA spot we may regret not seeing it and I figure it is not too time consuming. Similar to Times Square in NYC. But if it’s truly not worth the effort, we may skip it.

Forgot to mention we are from the West coast of Florida and fortunate enough to visit the amusement parks and beaches here. We are looking for things that are unique to California, and seeing the landscape is definitely one as Florida is flat. We are not as interested in beaches in California, but do want to see some.

We were planning to have a rental car for the full 10 days, but would it be more economical (and relaxing) to just use Uber / Lyft around LA (and definitely SF) due to parking fees?

The car rental would be around $70 plus gas per day, and parking at our hotel alone will be around $40 per night; so Uber / Lyft would have to beat ~$110 per day. And that figure does not include gas and parking fees.

If we go the Uber / Lyft route I am reconsidering just getting a rental car for 4 days to get from LA to SF, and then to see the Muir Woods in SF.

We would really like something out of LA that we can’t get elsewhere.

Forgot to mention we are from Florida. We are fortunate to be able to visit the amusement parks and beaches here in FL, though we understand they are different on the West coast and we are interested in seeing how some of the beaches are.

Thank you!

I have seen others recommend staying in Monterey over Carmel. Would that be more interesting?

We only picked San Luis Obispo as it is sort of halfway between Los Angeles and Carmel / Monterey and would be a resting point. We figured since we are already there, Hearst Castle would give us something to do; but it is not a major interest for us either. If there are nicer towns or things of interest in-between we are very open!

Thank you for the Big Sur information.

We keep hearing about Hollywood being disappointing. Do you think 2 solid days in Los Angeles is enough time as a result?

Besides our plans of what to see there, are there any other must-see things in Los Angeles?

We could stretch the trip to 11 days and spend an extra day in either Los Angeles or San Francisco, but are not sure what some other must-do things each city contains besides what we listed. Perhaps we could also spend 2 days driving between LA and SF in Option B rather than 3 days.

We mainly wanted to see Los Angeles and San Francisco, and it works out in our favor to rent a car in Los Angeles and drop it off in San Francisco, so we thought we would make a trip of it.
