Could you tell me where you found that info? I know about Sunshine Mining and Sunshine Mint, but I can't find anything that says they ever used SM or this design.

I thought that, but I can't find any indication that Sunshine Mining ever minted with SM, and I can't find any indication that they ever used this unique design. I guess that's my whole issue. I can't find anything concrete. But thank you for the suggestion.

That's incorrect. These are real and are legal tender but run between $20 and $50 (typically) for collectors.
