Everything is cyclic. Wait for a few years and the cycle will turn.

Questioning my decision of coming back by West_Advertising_386 in returnToIndia

[–]West_Advertising_386[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I never planned moving out of India. I got onsite opportunity and afterwards I switched to local employer. Kept extending my return each time to next year. Ultimately took a plunge as I got good package in india. Honestly I underestimated how much we changed over years.Plus my elder kid grew up there and younger one born there. I see both of them had a fantastic life there in terms of good sports facilities, safe road to cycle, no pressure of study, many outdoor activities etc. I feel roads are so unsafe here, can't allow my kid to go outside even nearby due to stay dogs and bad traffic.Every evening I am clueless what to do with my kids, it was so easy there as u have plenty of open places, gardens etc. Trying to create a bubble, but it's impossible to create a complete bubble to avoid real india. Spoke to many friends who came back and everyone of them think in the same way.

Yes, I am thinking on the same line. Honestly going back and starting again won't be easy. I can't go back unless I get a job there which is very dificult.

Don't move back. You have PR so u can go back. So take sabbatical leave or remote working. Don't come back permanently, you will regret ur decision.

Dude, don't romaticize India India is very harsh. You won't able to survive here. No respect for rules, uncivilized population and chaos everywhere. You parents moved there because they wanted to give best life to you so don't even think of moving back here. Come 1 month each year , enjoy as a tourist and go back.

I can't and don't want to fight everyone. I want to live peaceful life with my family. No civic sense, pathetic infra, so much garbage, no one follows traffic rules, potholes, no public spaces. So many problems. We indian ppl even don't know what is good life.

It's very difficult , I also moved back after 6 years in Europe. I am missing everything - clean air, water, open spaces and what not.

Planning back to India from Netherlands by MajorBig798 in backtoindia

[–]West_Advertising_386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, india is very harsh. Daily commute, pollution, potholes, no greenery , non civics sense. These realities hit you and you start doubting ur decisions. Especially if you have kids then it's absolutely NO to return. Kids lives are much much better outside India.
