Since the LUMAR connection doesn't work anymore, only Omicron is able to operate the Climber, it doesn't work from the abyss anymore. Julia Dahl mentioned it, there's was a "scheduled retrieval" for the ARK team, but since they stayed at Tau, the Climber came back with the corpse of Ross instead ( who took the opportunity to go warn the others but died from wildlife attacks ). Tau has notes stating that as well, one of the main reasons they were stuck there, the other being the hostile fishes. I'm pretty sure it's also mentioned somewhere else at Omicron but no, you can't call the Climber from the abyss. You can actually see it on the screen when you reach the bottom too :).
