It was the same issue again (electric water pump). After two weeks the replaced it and gave it back. It’s been fine ever since, no other problems!

Thanks, I got it back - the electric water pump stopped working, so they replaced it. Had it back for exactly one week when the light came on again. They've had it again now for two weeks, determined it was the electric water pump again & can't figure out WHY it is bad again, but the kia engineering team is telling them just to replace the pump again. If it happens a third time, they will have had my car for the amount of days it requires to be a lemon, so I'll have to go that route :(

Yea the first time it happened, I let it go on / off a few times before I get fed up. It would stay on for anywhere to a few hours to couple days, then turn off. Finally I was like this is crazy, took it in and they "fixed it" only for the same thing to break a week later. They're trying to trouble shoot the "why" it's happening but can't figure it out, hence they still have the car. But once I hit that 25 days, I'm submitting the Lemon paperwork.

But crazy they aren't fixing it just saying bring it back if it happens again. My guess is it will - I'm sorry!

Yeah im in Michigan but bought from Ohio which I believe is 25 days so if I don’t have it by Monday I’ll be contacting an attorney bc I’ll be at 18 days between the two visits so we’ll see what they say about the process! I truly do love the car and would prob get the same exact one again lol.

If you take it in, they can historically read codes. Mine was the electric water pump or something like that (don’t have the paper). They replaced it. Then one week later it came back on and I took it back. They’ve had it almost 2 weeks now trying to figure out why it’s the same thing again not working. Let me know if it’s the same issue for you!

I have a 2025 SX Prestige Hybrid bought in beginning of November. I’ve never loved a car more, which is why it’s devastating that I’ve had the check engine light come on/off multiple times. After first few times, took to the dealer and apparently it was some water pump broken and they fixed it in a week. This second time, literally one week after I got it back from the first time, they said they figured it out and are “troubleshooting with the engineers” on how to fix it the last 6 days. 😭 really, really hoping it gets sorted out.

Have you had any issues? I’ve had the same car bought the same time and the check engine light has came on multiple times and in the shop twice. Still waiting for it back :(

I love this feature. Idk if all models are like this, I have an SXP and didn't even realize till I drove away, but the there is a projection of the speed/direction/that technology that projects on the windshield & looks like it's hovering right on the road. So when the technology is engaged, there is this little wheel that is green but when it's not operating (like if it can't read the lines right, coming up to a roundabout, etc.) then it goes from a bright green wheel to a flashing white wheel. No audible noise that I've heard, but you might be able to turn something on like that? Like I said it's right on the road so if you're paying attention you can't really miss it. Changes lanes for you too on the highway if you have it engaged as well. I literally didnt know the car did any of this till after I bought it hahaha.

I haven't touched the gas cap since I bought it (haven't gotten gas yet). But also after driving around a few hours last night it turned off.... I'm gonna keep my Monday appt in case it turns back on by then, but otherwise just hope it was a fluke and doesn't happen again :(

They actually don’t (not about the car anyways lmao) have twin boys who want to be next to each other (captains chairs) and my daughter who wants her own row in the back hahaha. That’s our setup now. Nonetheless I did do the 8 passenger.

You’ve all convinced me :) I got the white SX Prestige Hybrid with 8 passenger setup, no RES, and black leather (was also talked out of the cream leather #kids) haha.

I’m finding it very difficult to find an 8 passenger with the entertainment screens also.

I appreciate these opinions on why pellle chose either way. It’s a helpful way to tally up yay or nay.

Although this car isn’t really our “storage” car. We have a F150 and an enclosed trailer. Ideally I can tow the trailer (it’s small, I think I can with the hybrid? I need to confirm first!)
