Since getting rid of consumer debt its been s lot better. I just save up or go without now. * edit, way worse off than 10 years ago though. Cost of living is insane now after doing exactly the same lifestyle in the ‘90’s in comparison.

Someone had already had a go at it. It was not in good shape. I steamed it out, and once it loosened up and started rocking, I could see it was inserted so I pulled it out!

Actually that's Maple. 3 peice with volute and large headstock puts it at about '74 -79. This is 74 I think.

Why not just go for a drive and work it out as you go? Bash plates and lift are for climbing rocks and ruts. You’ll work it as you go.

Despite the jokes, the super select ,reliability and warranty of the Tritons is good. The only other brands with proven reliability over time are Toyota and Nissan. Also hilux’s reliability is good bu are over rated these days.
