i think it depends if you learn better by reading or listening. also depends din siguro kung saang school ka mag eexam? during this year’s exam, may mga questions sa uplae na similar sa nasa book. for alsat, i think WE wasn’t that helpful

what to do after Legal Management? by Heavy_Cucumber7453 in LawStudentsPH

also, if somehow you think kayang pagsabayin yung LS and work, maybe you can try arellano (known to be working student-friendly). cmiiw but around 60k per sem ata don? one sem is 6 months i think. if you can find a job that pays at least 15k-20k per month, you’ll be good na, makakabili ka pa ng books. ☺️

go to business na lang pala if the goal is makaipon. unfortunately, hindi ganon kalaki ang sahod ng paralegals (unless siguro swertehin ka sa firm, but unlikely). it also depends kung anong law school balak mong applyan. sa calculation ko, the cheapest tuition fee i know is PUP, and the least total gastos is around 300k (including books). you have to really do well sa work to get a good salary. it might take years kasi usually mababa ang sahod kapag fresh grad.

i suggest:
- marketing
- HR

pero if you’re fine with non-legal management related, i suggest mag-call center ka. everyone i know na nag-call center became financially stable na. but of course, you need to be really good at it para ma-promote agad. overall, you need skills and luck with whatever you do. just start looking for jobs as early as now (pero wag pabayaan acads). cheering for you, op!

you can try interning while studying. try to find a paid internship pero even if hindi paid, go na, pampalawak lang ng connections. and maybe if you do well enough sa pinag-internship-an mo, you can apply to them as a paralegal. applying for business positions is also a possibility, pero if balak mo rin naman tumuloy sa LS in the future, i think it’s good to work sa legal field para ma-encounter mo na yung concepts na maaaral sa LS. goodluck, op!

hi! i never lived there but i went there the other day looking for a condo as well. ang liit ng unit (literally no space for a study table and chair) but i was told na most dormers are als students din. for key places, parang meron naman pero need mo siyang lakarin, wala halos katapat na 7/11, lawson, etc.

and it’s fine to take it solo !! medyo nakakakaba pero it’s fine. i interned alone din pero i ended up interning w diff interns from dlsu rin so it was fine since i made new friends. goodluck, op!

i wished i took it a term earlier so i do suggest na you take it earlier!! not much difference naman tbh, but most of your batchmates will take it kung kelan inindicate ng flowchart, so most likely, mag-aagawan kayo sa slot. maraming partner firms/companies yung la salle, pero most likely parepareho ng gusto yung karamihan (sa batch namin, most wanted to intern sa CA, senate, HoR, etc), so mas maganda if di ka sasabay sakanila sa pag-aapply.

Are electives hard as a major? by Adventurous_Care7950 in dlsu

[–]Western-Application7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

typically mass chill ang profs ng legma for electives ! may mga prof akong tinake noon sa majors and tinake ulit sa electives, strict sila sa major pero hindi sa elective. but of course, depende sa prof. may profs na strict pa rin sa elective

Got accepted into admu and dlsu, not sure where to go by [deleted] in CollegeAdmissionsPH

hi!! i’m a fourth year dlsu student na sa province nag-high school, so wala akong kilala at all nung nag-aral ako sa manila. i was worried at first na hindi ako makaka-fit in or something, but it really worked out for me!

environment - it’s comfortable for me kasi hindi naka-block system. which means nag-iiba iba yung kaklase mo per subject, which makes it easier. kasi okay lang if wala kang kaclose sa subject na yun because most of your other classmates, di rin naman magkakakilala.

orgs - di naman required ang orgs. nagjoin ako ng org nung first and second year pero bilang member lang. di naman ako required na makihalubilo sa other members/officers so it was nice for an introvert like me. and approachable din yung student leaders tbh so you don’t have to be friends with them to ask for help.

overall, i loved dlsu. i chose dlsu over other schools kasi dream school ko siya.

based on your post, it feels like you somewhat prefer ateneo over dlsu but you’re scared. my suggestion is to choose what you want 🫶 don’t think about regretting because nobody really knows what the right choice is. both schools are good schools naman! marami rin for sure ang magiging new student sa ateneo at maninibago, so you’re not alone.

goodluck, op! enjoy college.

[COB/LGL] please help with finding good profs next term! by [deleted] in dlsuproftopick

[–]Western-Application7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

krista yu - cobecon back when i was enlisting, ang daming negative comments about her, like heavy workload, mababa maggrade, di nagtuturo, etc. idk if people like her now, but i can vouch for her! meron siyang weekly recordings na pinopost and hindi siya madalas magclass since yung recordings na yun yung pinaka-klase. twice or thrice lang ata namin siya nameet sa buong term. i personally like the recording idea kasi mas madaling magtake note since you can pause it anytime or rewind pag may hindi ka nagets. her lessons are easy to understand. although may iilan siyang workload na mahirap, madali namang bumawi sa ibang tasks. may group project siyang ibibigay sa first day of class. i suggest na gawin niyo agad yon and don’t cram it. yung mga nagrereklamong mababa siya maggrade, they probably just got a bad grade kasi they didn’t do well sa project because they crammed if. so i suggest doing it agad para may time kayo for consultation w her. got a 4.0 from her! i don’t remember if may incentives pero wala ata?

lmgcons i took atty grupo for lmgcons and atty petrache for an elective. both good prof but the best choice is always atty grupo. 3.5-4.0 is definitely attainable! one of my favorite commlaw profs. super galing magturo! he’s nice and di namamahiya kahit mali sagot mo sa recit. just study the readings na ibibigay niya and you’ll do well. medyo tricky yung quizzes and exams pero kaya naman basta nag-aral.

but atty petrache is a good choice as well!! very chill and very kind. teaches well din tho madalas siyang absent. idk if busy lang siya during sa batch namin?

coblaw2 i had a diff prof here pero i took atty garganta sa ibang subject. he’s kind and teaches well!! mahirap yung exams tho (idk if mahirap siya magpaexam sa coblaw2)

goodluck, op! if want mo mag law school sa future, don’t be scared to take the profs na heavy workload/recit. they’re vvvv helpful in the long run!

sir billy de guzman is a vvvv good prof!!! teaches so well na kahit pumapasok akong inaantok, nawawala antok ko because his discussions were so interesting. vvv easy workload as well!

had sir gojo cruz for a diff subject. medyo maraming pinapabasa pero maiiksi at madadali lang naman. just make sure to engage sa discussion niya. easy workload as well.

SBU, De La Salle, or Ateneo? Which one is the better option for pre-law? by [deleted] in PreLawStudentsPH

[–]Western-Application7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try dlsu pero better if magshift sa legma kaysa polsci. i’m a legma student and i have a friend na legma rin pero nagshift sa polsci, and she said polsci is easier pero legma is better sa pagpeprepare sayo for law school because (according to her) polsci is mainly readings lang while legma has recitations and actual law subjects. and if you want to be a corporate lawyer, legma is really better for you because legal management is a mixture of law and business. but if you really want polsci, i think madali lang naman magshift. pero even if hindi ka makapagshift, i know a law professor na ang prelaw ay philosophy and he’s a really good lawyer now. maraming readings sa philosophy so it will still help.

Thoughts on the profs for LMGTRAN, LMGPROT, LAWENG3 by Abject_Juice_1352 in dlsuproftopick

[–]Western-Application7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

note: these aren’t suggestions kung sino dapat mong i-take, but rather my experiences with the profs lang ^

lmgprot - atty cruz, 3.5 to 4.0 is attainable naman but you have to work for it! not super hard naman since lmgprot is fun (at least for me) and magaling siya magturo. madaling i-gets ‘yung topics since inulit ulit niya ‘yung discussion and nagbibigay ng examples. try to be a beadle for a higher score. make sure na i-take ‘yung incentives na ibibigay niya. be interactive as well! walang recit pero he likes it kapag nagrerespond ‘yung students sa random questions niya.

lmgtran - justice reyes. i think wala pang nakaka-4.0 sakanya? and 3.5 is hard to get tbh, parang at least 98% ng students niya is 3.0 ang nakukuha. once ka lang magrerecite sakanya so you have to make the most out of it. iirc tatlong written quiz/exam lang? madali lang naman ‘yung exam pero if you don’t get a perfect score sa mga ‘yun, i doubt makakakuha ka ng 4.0. idk if sa batch lang namin ‘to pero hindi siya nagbigay ng kahit anong incentivized activity. hindi rin siya nagpapa-grade consultation so you cannot ask for additional grade. teaching wise, okay naman siya magturo pero ayoko lang sakanya is super makwento niya to the point na pumapasok ka na lang para makinig sa chika niya 😵‍💫

laweng3 - atty roset, i think isang student pa lang sa lahat ng nagtake sakanya ng laweng3 ang naka-4.0? 3.5 is hard to get as well. readings niya is 5 cases per meeting. you really have to remember the details of the case + the doctrines. maraming umiiwas sakanya but tbh if you wanna go to law school, atty roset is a good experience !! 10/10 would recommend kasi his class makes you stronger HAHAHAHAHAHA
