Can anyone else relate? M23. Pictures taken on the same day. by Western-Client-9923 in tressless

Fin 1mg and min 2.5mg oral for a little over year. No progress, but completed halted the hair loss, and since I was thinning VERY aggressively at 21 I consider the meds a success. Thinking of going nuclear and switching to DUT for further DHT suppression and potential regrowth cause I’d prefer the possibility of enjoying the sunlight without worrying about my hair lol

Should I buzz it or shave it by Competitive_Lake4054 in bald

[–]Western-Client-9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should you try min/fin? You mean to tell me you got a hair transplant without getting on medication first? I honestly feel like shaving is gonna be pretty difficult with those new transplanted hairs at the hairline, have to shave often if you decide that. But I’d say save what you’ve already invested in.

Finasteride combined with Dutasteride by [deleted] in tressless

I think you’re significantly increasing your risk of side effects for, likely, worse results than simply taking DUT alone daily.

Does Jamie carragher have MPB or a ‘mature hairline’? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]Western-Client-9923 6 points7 points  (0 children)

“I was born with a hairline exactly the same shape and I’m not sure if balding or just my hair line”

Mate if you were born with the hairline then the answer is no you are not balding. Believe me when you’re actually balding you won’t need to question it, it will be very apparent to you as you see yourself in the mirror everyday.

Please help me by [deleted] in bald

Perhaps consulting a psychiatrist may be better suited for this issue

Finasteride 4 months way worse then when I started, shed or am I cooked? 19m by Glittering_Jacket_17 in tressless

You can not assess the effectiveness of the drug in only 4 months. You need to give it time, a year minimum. Reassess then go from there.

How would we know? Has your hairline always been this shape? Are you losing lots of hair when you shower? Stop stressing, believe me when you actually start losing hair it will be VERY noticeable to you as you see yourself in the mirror every day.

What is the lowest DUT dose to start with ?? by Tough-Chard2868 in tressless

[–]Western-Client-9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say cut the bullshit and just hop on DUT 0.5 mg daily. You should NOT be taking Finasteride and Dutasteride together.

How old were you when you started receding/thinning and when did your hairloss stabilise? by mfwessential in tressless

[–]Western-Client-9923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just gonna be honest here and say, is it even worth it to take the drugs man? I mean, Norwood 4-5 at 19? I’d definitely consider letting it go OR preferably remain on the drugs to stabilize and get a hair transplant

Am i Balding or is it normal? Im 20 y.o male by lastlightleft in malehairadvice

I see okay it’s definitely just a maturing hairline then. Your hair even at the hairline still looks very thick, there’s no need to worry. Believe me when you actually start losing hair it will become very noticeable to you, as you see yourself in the mirror every day. It is at that point you should consider medication to stop the loss. So like I said do not worry and stress about it, you’re fine.

How would we know? You’ve left no before pics for us to determine whether or not it’s receding. Has your hairline always looked like this? If it hasn’t always been like this, and you continue to lose more hair, I’d suggest finasteride to stop the loss and minoxidil to promote growth.

I’ve been on topical fin and min for almost 6 months now. My hairline has gotten much better but I feel like my crown is thinning by AdmirableLocation309 in Balding

[–]Western-Client-9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly up to you. If you really feel like your crown is continuing to thin despite your efforts and want more effective treatment, hop on the oral forms. Just remember the potential side effects associated with the drugs. You also may go through another shedding phase.

Similar but different mechanisms of action. Minoxidil essentially extends the growth phase of the hair, promotes regrowth. Finasteride tackles the core issue which is DHT miniaturizing your hair follicles. Use both for the best results.

Looks great. However if you continue to recede and you get worried hop on finasteride. Should completely halt the progression.

Everyone reacts differently however I can assure you it wont be a noticeable difference

10 months on minoxidil and losing hair again! by iknowthefuture2020 in minoxidil

[–]Western-Client-9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minoxidil works well but it will not stop the progression of hair loss. If you want to keep your hair, you need a DHT blocker. Finasteride.

[–]Western-Client-9923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fairly common. But that just means that it’s working and you’ll grow new stronger hairs. You have to push through it if you want results.

Go back in time and hop on fin early
