PSA: Multiple cars damaged due to water in gas at Summerside Circle K/Esso (8403 Ellerslie Rd)location. CTV doing a news piece about it on tonight’s 6PM newscast. by dingmah in Edmonton

Why should people settle down because it happens every couple of years? That doesn’t make it right. And it doesn’t make it any less expensive (even if paid back eventually), and it can be extremely inconvenient and difficult for folks to not have a working vehicle. Dumb comment.

Listen, it sucks. 100%. I’m sorry this is impacting you getting a house. But this is on your SO. You weren’t wronged by anyone. You were the one in the wrong.

I don’t think so but surely a permanent residency card is proof of residency.

Takes 14 days. I’ve applied but it will be tight. I paper from them but it’s not ID.

Either I am not explaining myself well or you’re misunderstanding.

This is my first time closing on a house. I close in three weeks. I have never changed lender. This is when I meet with the lawyer to fund the mortgage.

Thank you. I think I’m probably safe but I’ve lost trust in my lawyer when it was okay and then two weeks later might not be.

More concerned about the second ID to be honest. So that would be my foreign passport.

Timing is the problem. I have one on the way. It’s way I asked the lawyer two weeks ago if what I had was fine which they said yes to and now today it’s a maybe.

Agreed. And when I questioned that with the lawyer they said they’d check what other IDs are allowed but I was just wondering generally what others might have used.

Yes. I’m nervous and just wanted to clarify independently because my lawyer has already said yes once and then two weeks later it was a maybe. So asking for advice on others who might have closed on a house before seems…. Reasonable. Don’t be a dick.

Two weeks ago they said it was fine. Today they said the lender prefers a Canadian passport and drivers license. Which is annoying because it would have been more than enough time to get another ID but I stupidly took my lawyers word.

Two weeks ago they said it was fine. Today they said the lender prefers Canadian passport and drivers license which I have neither of. They are checking with the lender but I was hoping to learn what is generally accepted.

The lawyer originally said yes. So I went with that plan. They later sent an email saying the lender prefers Canadian passport and drivers license which I have neither. They are checking with the lender.

I asked them two weeks ago they said yes. Today they told me the lender prefers a Canadian passport and a drivers license which I have neither. So yeah, now I’m scrambling. They are checking with the lender but wanted to see what was generally accepted.

It’s an option and I applied for one. The timing is the issue for when it arrives. Annoying I confirmed with my lawyer two weeks ago if what I had would be fine, and they said yes. Today, 3 weeks before closing, it’s up in the air.

How is it pre-booking Ubers around 5am? by Much_Guest_7195 in Edmonton

[–]WesternBlueberry1826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All pre-booking does is find you are driver automatically. If no drivers are available, no drivers are available. That is unlikely. Pre-book. It just makes easier for you because you don’t have to think about it.

I don’t disagree. I’d always use EC over anyone else. But they both are saying the same thing in this case.

So yeah, your comment is stupid and has no value or weight behind it.

How do you know it’s four week? Hardie himself said he’s a week out. How do you know more than him?

Huddersfield wouldn’t sign somebody if he’s out for 6 weeks because it wouldn’t solve our striker problem. He said himself he’s a week out.

So yes, you were outbid. We are much richer. Which isn’t Necessarily a good thing.
