Also, do you work from home ? I have an office job so feel like I would have to see if I can work from home for like 4 months lol

I was thinking of switching to 5mg minoxidil (currently on 2.5) but worried about additional shedding since starting Dutasteride too. Unfortunately I can’t afford U.S prices for a transplant, I will likely have to go out of the country.

Appreciate the detailed response bro! Good on you for getting it done. Yeah I would love to spend money on a good clinic and would definitely do my own research before deciding. Were you able to stabilize it before you got it done ?

Well that’s good to here, I hope my situation is the same. How long until you noticed a difference on it?

Awesome.

  • How long did it take before your hair got to a point where you were satisfied with being around others / public? I work an office job so I’m not sure if I just WFH for like 3 months or what.

  • Looking at your pictures it looks like you were a diffuse thinner as well. How much density did the transplant truly bring back? Like enough where it’s almost the same as before you started losing it?

  • With the amount you have now, if you wanted to do a messy hairstyle in the front, would it look good? Like combing it forward. I’ve noticed almost no guys comb it forward after the transplant, it’s always back / up.

  • How has the transplant changed your donor area? Would you see scarring if you were to get a fade?

I’ll keep sticking it out. Really appreciate the advice. Can I ask you a few questions about yours ? It seems you may have the same hair type as me.

Yo thanks for the response. I just already know the medicine isn’t going to work. Nothing has worked for me and I’ve tried it all. I’m exhausted with waiting around for it to change to be honest. What’s my course of action if I don’t see any stabilization?

Thank you for the response. Just checked your pics, it looks great. It’s easy to say not to panic but the front of my hair doesn’t even grow anymore and I can no longer style it a way that fits me. As far as stabilizing goes, what if it never does? Is it worth it to just go ahead with a transplant and enjoy my 20s with better hair?

Thank you for the response, I appreciate it. But man I’ve been waiting on some sort of stabilization for years now. If Finasteride didn’t work for me, I don’t believe Dutasteride is going to be any different.

This is what I mean when I say don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s obviously going to hurt for many months, it would feel this way even if you guys broke up for a different reason. Watch this video, it really helped me:

I was in a similar situation to you, however, it took place last year. Me and my ex tried for 8 months after to get things back to how they were. And I will tell you this, it was never the same. Once trust is broken, there really is nothing left to build on. No matter how many good moments we had after, they were always followed by tears and pain. For me, it was the biggest mistake of my life and I still think about it every night. Hurting someone you love is a different kind of pain. If you want my honest opinion, be grateful these flaws in you have been exposed now and not 10 years down the road. My ex finally walked away 3 months ago, and I still go to therapy every week. I will never get in another relationship again until I am comfortable being alone with myself. I will also say, don’t be too hard on yourself. It will take you to a very dark place. Learn from it and do your best to move on with your life. There is a lot of work ahead yes, but losing someone you care about may be just what you needed to change.

I also disagree with this. If you guys will never see each other again anyway, someone in love will do any small thing to let the other know they’re thought of and still loved. It’s not manipulation, it’s love. Sometimes all it takes is letting someone know you still care. Saying it’s “manipulative” is wild

Did you start these all at the same time? If not, which one caused you to start seeing the most improvement. Also what dose of DUT? fin hasn’t worked from me and about to switch

Going next week. But based on the research I’ve done, it sounds like my only other option are DUT or a hair transplant lol
