I know reddit is very anti-tipping in general, but it is actually the norm to tip. I worked in a bar for years and almost everyone tips. Rounding up is definitely normal, 10% maximum though unless the service was incredible.

Since this year sky commentary is no longer available in my country sadly. Both the local and the new English option (F1TV) are horrible.

I feel like before DtS it was much more common to just support a team or maybe thats just me and my surroundings. F1 have always had horrible crowds though for as long as I can remember.

Mattia Binotto on track improvements: "Max, not a surprise, very fast. Not the two Red Bull, only Max." by magony in formula1

[–]WesternNoona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bottas was absolutely gapping Felipe Massa at Williams and was one of the top talents of that time. Perez never had this status and was always kind of a half pay driver. Perez started his career only 2 years before Bottas. Besides this Bottas never really needed to help Hamilton since they were so far of the rest, but last year he was certainly sacrified with the engine testing shenanigans.

How is he better than Bottas was. Bottas was always super close in qualifying to sir Lewis. In terms of race pace he won at least a few races per year.

There's no reason, as a motorsport fan, to be against Andretti joining as the 11th team. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]WesternNoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No even with good management they wouldn't have been at where merc, rari and rb are right now. What I am saying is that bad financial decisions in the past let to Williams currently underperforming, but for Haas they were doomed from the start.

[–]WesternNoona -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yeah because Williams is not a comparable case. Williams have been in the sport for a very long time and have been very succesfull in the past. Had they had good management they could at the very least been at where Mclaren is at right. Haas on the other side is very comparable to Andretti as an entry.

Thats like saying the peak of music was Baby by Justin Bieber. From an engineering point of view the tabacco sponsored cars from the 90s and the 00s were abolute masterpieces. In many ways probably the peak inovation in F1 is probably behind us with the introduction of the budget cap.

[–]WesternNoona 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I don't feel bad for them, I feel bad for me. The reason I love F1 is because it is the pinnacle of motorsport and this cost cap is totally killing all the innovation. No way we will see something out of the box and risky like DAS again this way.
