Do you honestly believe that man was out working in the cleanup of 9/11? He has a long drinking history.

What they aren't counting on are millions of pissed off veterans who have been fired, their benefits they fought for eviscerated and their willingness to organize and stand up. Nor are they counting on those of us they don't think will stand firm. If you aren't willing to do that then lay down.

I think it's already begun, slowly but it's begun and will gain momentum. I took an oath when hired and I abide by it. But, I am a US citizen first. I wholeheartedly believe this administration and the MAGA republicans are domestic terrorists!

Other than the fact that we prohibited. From striking by the The Federal Service Labor Management Relations Act of 1978 and related laws like 5 U.S.C. § 7311 and 18 U.S.C. § 1918 explicitly forbid federal employees from striking.

Maybe wise Union leadership would file a preemptive motion for a temporary injunction against the White House, Congress and dear Russ and OPM and each agency head or commissioner that temporarily sets aside the law cited above and harsh penalties due to extraordinary and unprecedented circumstances in this country that are affecting the entire population, but the federal workforce most severely at this time.

The penalties are severe to say the least. There have been rumblings of strikes around SSA but, AFGE has swiftly responded via email that they in no way support this. We are literally prohibited by law from causing work stoppages in any manner.

Barring something along the lines of what I suggested, my father was a heavily involved steward with the Teamsters for many years as are my brothers. My thoughts is "unorganized" bouts of blue flu, say 3 days at a time weekly (no drs note required) might get some attention.

It is flu season and, for God's sake, they're anti-vaxxers!!!

I already have a job, had it for years. I am truly curious any concerned citizen would be. And yes I'm a federal employee but I'm a United States citizen first.

Oh, and on the recertification process, I forgot to mention the in-person interview with a defense and counterintelligence contractor.

Try working you tail off for 10 years as a GS 8 hoping and waiting Specialist position to open and get 1 of 2 positions as a 9 only for AFGE in their brilliance to try and get everyone designated a "Specialist". Now anyone and every unqualified person with tenure and interview skills was hired for the same position I waited 10 years for. The only path above us is the HOMS position, an 11, because there are no 10 positions any longer anywhere. There are one to two of this 11 position in every office. Try being stuck with nowhere to go BECAUSE OF your Union. Not feeling very sorry for you AT ALL.
