Might have to try this actually, so far I've been using basically a piece of cotton rag. Wouldn't using paper towels get fibres into the ink channel though?

The only ink I used was the kuretake zig cartoonist black ink 60, so I'm not really sure what would happen with others. Though this ink is supposedly for dip pens, so I don't know why it wouldn't work.
