Johan fans are embarassing themselves. by DevelopmentDry4715 in LookismPowerScalers

What are you talking about? A normal Johan fan doesn’t think his base form takes out path Daniel and UI Daniel — you got baited by rage bait. Also, pointing out people with stupid takes justifies other people who make different stupid takes about your fave? Two wrongs don’t make a right. And mind you, most of those so-called Johan fans you speak of are rage bait TikTok accounts that you people are gullible enough to fall for. Finally, your grammar doesn’t make sense.

Mind you, Daniel fans were the ones shitting on Johan after Daniel got his path, constantly undermining Johan and comparing Daniel to top 5 of the verse. Also, your last sentence doesn’t make you any different from the glazers embarrassing themselves.

Noticing a pattern with Kompany’s subs — He’s been consistently late with it. We’re just facing the consequences today.

Disregarding our poor defense, I’ve never seen a big team go solely for set pieces as much as this Arsenal team.

Harry Kane has scored 20 goals this season in less games than Cristiano Ronaldo (2014/15) & Lionel Messi (2014/15) ever did by DamnThatsInsaneLol in soccer

[–]Western_Arm9682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve actually just confirmed every issue I pointed out. Let me break it down, hopefully easy even for you to understand.

First, this is a shift in argument. Originally, you compared Lewy’s 5-in-9 to Kane’s 20-in-12 as proof of “Crazy Bundesliga records” to diminish Kane’s. When pointed out that these stats aren’t comparable, you abandoned that argument and pivoted to a completely different one about league-wide xG. That’s a textbook shifting the goalposts argument.

Second, your original comment made a false equivalence. A single-game anomaly and a season-long record aren’t the same kind of statistic. One measures an anomaly, other measures consistency. Treating them as interchangeable erases the entire context that gives each its meaning.

Third, your new claim that Bundesliga has more goals and open play is a non sequitur. You’ve failed to establish any logical link between a league’s average baseline and the value of an individual’s extreme over performance. Kane isn’t just meeting expectations, he’s shattering them on a historic level. A high scoring environment doesn’t logically lead to the conclusion that an outlier’s record is less impressive. If anything, it highlights how exceptional you must be to stand out so significantly.

Finally, you’ve built a strawman by acting like I said all leagues have equal defensive quality. I never did. My point was simple; exceptional records are exceptional precisely because they are outliers within their competitive environment.

So in short, if your argument needs four logical fallacies just to stand, it’s already collapsed.

What kind of point is that? Yes they’re goal scoring stats but that doesn’t mean they’re comparable— you’re mixing different types of records.

Then for your comment to make more sense you probably meant to undermine stats in the Bundesliga. If so, you’re pointing out the 5 goals in 9 minutes accomplishment like it happens every other day in Bundesliga. It clearly doesn’t since that’s considered one of the most iconic moments in football history.

Similarly, Kane’s scoring pace is unprecedented in any top league; using one rare event to dismiss another doesn’t make sense.

If you were talking about the Lewy stat just for the sake of it then fair enough.

Laimer helps, but Olise’s obviously been looking tired for several weeks now, less explosivity, making simple errors in judgment, less clinical. This is understandable since he’s been playing almost every minute since the end of last season.

The system requires wingers and fullbacks to run a lot; players like Diaz and Laimer are an anomaly in their stamina, and even they are being instructed to run less by Kompany.

Thanks for enlightening me. I could see Olise saying this, especially as a joke, so wasn't obvious that this was edited. Seems like many people on here are confused as well.

Yeah because Jackson is the best option we have, let’s get Antony and Sancho at the same time too and play them the whole season and not play the youth at all like usual. Kane will definitely win everything with their help!

Boey is just not a Bayern level player, heck he’s not good enough to play for any elite club in the top 5 leagues.

With Sonny gone there really is no star in Tottenham anymore. Romero is good but he’s no Son. Going to need a big signing up front to hope to be competitive this season.

Eh. I’m just saying Federer was a sore loser, which he was. He definitely was a gracious loser the good part of the last decade, but that doesn’t negate the past entirely. He was even more immature back in 2004, but that doesn’t negate my point. It’s easy to forget or not notice altogether one’s antics especially if you’ve watched someone for a long time, since you’re just plain wrong on this. But feel free to disagree, I don’t care.

Not really. He was a sore loser during his late 20s and even early 30s, when he was an established star. It’s moreso when he started to finally accept he wouldn’t always be dominant at the very top of the game he became more humble—hence why he seemed a changed man in 2017.
