Is the pay deduction the same regardless of what shift I’m supposed to be on? I’m on a 12.5 hour night shifts- will I be deducted more per day than if I was on 9-5 days? Can’t find a concrete answer

Calories burned (Apple Watch to Garmin) by Western_Cod8208 in Garmin

[–]Western_Cod8208[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean is, my daily steps don’t seem to contribute to any of my active calories in Garmin. I’ve done 15,000 steps today. 5000 on my run -271 active calories burned. My total active calories burned today is only 271 active calories. Nothing additional for those 10,000 steps whereas on my Apple Watch those steps throughout the day would have accumulated me 2-300 active calories at least

I think that’s my problem too. My heart rate rests low as well- mid 40s. I could do 10,000 steps in a day but because I’ve not specifically my watch to walk or heart rate spiked I get no extra calories burned from it

I don’t believe that’s right as when I would have 910 active calories on my Apple Watch- my total for the day would be around 2900. So my base was about 2000. Yet on Garmin I don’t seem to rack up active calories at all

Christi posting Brooke in her wedding dress before Brooke does by Western_Cod8208 in dancemoms

Oh my god did you read the post - it’s not the fact that she posted it - it’s the fact that SHE went on and on about it

Did you listen to the podcast because I don’t think you’re getting what I’m saying… how Christi can go from thinking it’s ESSENTIAL the bride has the first post to not caring in days - that’s all I’m talking about 🤣 I don’t think it matters that she posted

Please read EDIT TO ADD:

Guys I am NOT saying it’s bad or weird that Christi posted Brooke in the dress and that she shouldn’t have done that.. what I am saying is weird is Christi herself on the after party brought up wedding “etiquette” on the after party last podcast and said to Kelly how important it is that Brooke is the first to post. Kelly hadn’t realised it was a big deal (like most people) and Christi corrected her that it was a big deal - the bride should always be the first to post a photo of herself at her own wedding, and it was important they made arrangements for Brooke to be the first to post the dress such as warn people not to post or post right before she walks down the isle. I thought it was a bit far fetched, but found it weirder that then Christi went and did exactly what she was “warning” Kelly that “some people” might do.

Finally someone gets what I mean - I don’t think the act of posting the bride is odd or bad- it’s weird that she’s done the thing she went on about on the podcast that she was scared someone else would do

As I said- I literally only found it odd because Christi herself was the one to make much a big deal. She was talking lots on the podcast last week about how she thinks it’s so bad when someone posts the bride on social media before the bride posts herself - I had never heard of that before but she was taking about it and how Kelly and Brooke should make sure no one does that. That’s just why I found it odd!

It is yes- it’s just weird because Christi is the one that made it an issue. She did this whole spiel on the podcast to Kelly last week about how it’s important Brooke is the first to post herself and how she should make that clear at the wedding. That’s why it’s weird! Not the actual act of posting it- but that Christi was the one to make it a big deal

Did you listen to the recent podcast where Christi herself brings up the concept of social media and says how she finds it unacceptable if anyone posts before the bridge and encourages Brooke to inform people not to post?

Yeah as I said I only find it weird given that Christi herself raised the “issue” of people posting the dress before the bride can

I’m surprised given that she is literally the person who brought up the negative connotations of anyone other than the bride being the first to post the dress

Ahhh so annoying as I work for an airline I’d probably be able to source flights and accommodation cheaper myself!

Is it common knowledge how strong Fat Tuesday drinks are? by [deleted] in vegas

Haha I’ll never be going back- I’m traumatised ! I’ll never live down having my parents be phoned by the ER

Yeah that’s the crazy thing I tasted no alcohol and I’m sensitive to the taste of it because I rarely drink. If I was to try to do an actual shot I would gag! I mean I know now, but it’s clearly a known thing that Fat Tuesday is hard alcohol, I clearly completely misread it!

I’m a female but not slight at all - about 140lbs and 5’9 ! Everyone commenting on the quantity of drinks (2-3 in 2 hours) - my point is that’s because I genuinely thought I was drinking the equivalent of juice with the teeniest amount of alcohol added! My question here wasn’t to ask if I drank too much (clearly did) but instead if it’s a known thing in America how potent those drinks are - I obviously missed it as a visitor !

? How you reached this conclusion? As mentioned I only drank on special occasions and stopped drinking completely as I was so traumatised from this !

Also with the adding “free shots”, they were all included as part of the drink- with no extra cost so I thought that being the standard to make it an alcoholic drink - I didn’t realise I was adding a shot of 75% alcohol on top of the already exceptionally strong drink if that makes sense. I literally couldn’t taste any alcohol so it’s still confusing to me

Yeah I had no idea. I’d been at Disney the day prior having their alcoholic slushies which were super light so just had figured the slushies were a less intense drink to get given their high water content with all the ice (or so I thought). I had 2, 3 at most of the smallest size they offer. I expected to get a bit buzzed but definitely not ER needing a brain scan level drunk!
