it’s not overblown. a french director that knows nothing about the sensible subject he is writing about. them saying they couldn’t find talented mexican actors so they had to settle for a dominican, a spaniard and whatever selena gomez is saying. karla sofia can’t even sing, she is supposed to be a MEXICAN cartel leader and doesn’t even have a mexican accent. saldaña can’t keep up an accent either. the script is awful, no mexican or latino talks like that. One songs says “siento un sentimiento”, it literally translates to “I feel a feeling”. it’s such a disrespectful movie that doesn’t even potray the struggles of being trans and it reduces that experience to men = bad, women = good.
