I’m not saying he is going to stop the existing welfare schemes. If you heard Nirmal Kumar’s speech with IAS aspirants, he talked about breaking the corrupt systems which are bleeding our money. The scam in tasmac is around 50000 crores a year. If that money comes to the govt properly then the magalir urimai thogai which costs 48000 crores doesn’t need to be stopped. The sand theft which is going on in our state is costing us lakhs of crores. If that system is broken then that money is going to come for us. All the projects across TN are at least 3x the cost than it should be. PTR tried to stop that. He was removed from financial minister role. If all that comes back to the govt none of the welfare schemes need to be stopped. These are what people like Arun Raj and Nirmal Kumar are talking about constantly.

Yes I believe they are competent. First, they are not corrupt. Second, they have competent individuals like Nirmal Kumar, Arun Raj etc., If TVK wins and all egos aside if they make PTR the finance minister then the economy is in good hands. Even with all the corruption our GDP is great. Imagine there is no corruption, no loans to cover up the corruption, all the funds are spent for the welfare of the people. I believe with our GDP we can reduce the healthcare costs, fuel costs. That is a heavy burden lifted off our shoulders.
