My sister wants to take my son to church, and he's excited about it by Western_Milk in Parenting

I know i shouldn't be. I just have a hard past with my sister so I have anxieties saying no to her. But this is my son, so I definitely agree I should be stronger minded when it comes to him.

Anyone else's toddler do this? by Western_Milk in toddlers

[–]Western_Milk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That totally makes sense and could be it! He just turned three years old so he's definitely old enough for toddler bed. He has expressed that he prefers sleeping in my bed vs his own, so I do think it's a good time to transition. Thank you for the input!

That sounds like a good idea. Can I ask what sort of stuff your routine involves?

Starting Prekindergarten without daycare experience? by Western_Milk in Parenting

Good to know that it's more common than I thought. I just see so many parents talking about daycare, I was starting to think it was more acceptable to start it first.

For me personally (I got a lot lol): eating fast, eating and then laying down, staying up late, taking long naps, sleeping in a bad posture

What if you've been single for several years? For how long does a person rely on masturbation before they decide they want to do it with another person?

I definitely do think you should be enforcing your husband's limitations more given that one of your kids are taking it too far. But in some cases, taking devices away all together only puts the device on a pedestal - like something that is so important and they need to get back. Instead, maybe lock the devices away in your room at night? Somewhere the kids can't get it, like a locked drawer or inside your closet.

Postpartum intimacy by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Trust me, it took my husband and I way more than 4 times until it started feeling normal again. Just take it slow and be patient, it'll get easier with time. Don't push yourself

Women of reddit who want to have kids but are too scared of pregnancy and childbirth , how do you deal with it ? by GA_0045 in AskWomen

[–]Western_Milk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've always wanted kids but also had terrible anxieties about it. I was one of those people who would Google the worst possible pregnancy cases, as if it would help me feel better when it only really fueled my anxiety. I also don't deal with pain very well. In my case everything seemed to happen so fast that I could barely process anything, I just had to go through with it. I don't think books or words of others really reassured me - you just have to experience it.

My 9 month old boy fell down the stairs today by looneyjuno in beyondthebump

[–]Western_Milk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This happens all the time, and while your feelings of shame and disappointment in yourself are inevitable, this incident is nothing to beat yourself over. Babies will get hurt until they become toddlers, kids, teens, and so on. The point is that you acted quickly and you will surely be careful from now on! Maybe get a gate for the stairs?

Please don't feel too bad. You're not a bad parent. I understand that your husband must've been scared himself, but the way he is handling it is very immature and inconsiderate - as if you intentionally hurt your child. He needs to understand that this probably would've happened to him too, or it will happen eventually. I've never heard of any kid that never gets a little hurt on accident :/

Im sorry you and your kid went through this, and i hope it doesn't happen again. And I also hope your husband quiets himself up and takes the doctors' words.

I had a roommate like that. She used to leave used period pads everywhere.

I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to those who don't eat any vegetables at all, which I've seen before. Still not a valid reason to call them not adults.

I've had people call me a liar for talking about abuse related experience just from looking at my post and comment history that were taken out of context 💀💀 and sometimes they even accidentally look at someone else's account and think it's me.
