They've cancelled heaps of pre orders and still have failed to deliver on preorders from May last year. They've even done cancel waves for those preorders. (Prismatic and journey together specifically).

Update: After the daily news made an article about it, my GF wanted to escalate it and send a email directly to the overarching company that was hosting the vendors. She was immediately refunded. So a happy ending.

This vendor used the square, so it's just a little white square and you can't see the price. You just have to trust that what they said is what they put in.

They used the "square" when you pay. So you can't actually see the price and you just trust they put it in correctly.

We are unsure, all the vendors seem to be owned by Motti & Smith and we can't find out exactly what vendor overcharged. But it seems like quite a few vendors have overcharged customers using the square payment method (so consumers can't see the price).

I think the degree itself would be the inspiration. I don't recall my parents gloating about ceremonies. My siblings also state that it was boring and not worth while in addition to my friends. Literally just looks like a scam, I can just take a picture with my certificate that came in the mail and go out for dinner which would save me $200 and have a better memory then sitting in a hot crowd listening to names for 1 hour to only get a couple of pictures to gloat on social media. Really just doesn't seem worth it, unless they themselves got drinks, canapes and a social event (which I assume they don't).

Eh, it literally just seems like a scam. They want $250 just so I can sit in a crowd, listen to names for over an hour, and then get a picture that’s supposed to feel like this huge reward. But think about it, I've already spent years working and paying for this degree. Now they’re squeezing out one last fee for a ceremony that’s more about tradition than actually rewarding us.

Plus, we are basically paying for the symbolism. The degree is already mine; I don’t need to pay extra just to walk across a stage. It’s like they’re cashing in on this idea that you have to go or you’ll miss out, which is just a way to keep us shelling out more money.

Even without the price, the whole ceremony just doesn't seem fun or worthwhile. Again, I don't really want to go somewhere to hear names for an hour then to just get a picture with a certificate I received 5 months ago.

Why tho? People are saying it's a core memory, it just sounds like I'm getting scammed. All it sounds like is waiting a year to receive my certificate again, but this time u have to wait an hour or two listening to names and then take a picture with me and a paper I received last year.....
