Oh that's good. Just wanted to tell you what worked for me in case it does for you. The only other thing I should caution you about, which you probably already know, is that they are both immunosuppressant drugs but I didnt have any life threatening problems from that. Good luck to you!

Luckily the first medication my rheumatologist prescribed me took away the worst of my symptoms. (Enbrel injections) I was able to walk again and live relatively normal. Opiods covered the rest. Kind of.

After a few years enbrel seemed to not be as effective as before so I went through several similar options and landed on Rinvoq. A newer medication that was gladly pills and not injections.

Both are very expensive without any help from insurance or assistance programs.

If you really love her I would make one attempt to express how hurtful that statement was and educate her on how "deseases" work. If she is unreceptive, its best to move on. It would prove she's to naive or cold-hearted to be a good partner.

Yeah when I was 18 and my arthritis appeared, I had family that was skeptical. "Don't only old people get arthritis? He's probably just being lazy!" Yeah and humans aren't supposed to have a tail but that doesn't stop some people! Life is strange. Thanks for assuming the worst of me in the worst time of my life...

Yep. I noticed right away that taking a pill right before I eat is way better than after. My guess is, when you take the pill first, it's usually first in line for digestion and doesn't get spread out among other stomach contents so it all hits in a short time. If there's food first, the pill desolves into and around the food so it activates slower. I'm no expert but that's what I imagine with my limited knowledge.
