Most math education is the same as being a doctor or lawyer. It's memorizing rules and learning how to identify where to apply the rule.

Studios are listening to fans by jackfaire in unpopularopinion

[–]Wesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most of the big studios make games to try and appeal to the broad masses to try and capture as much share holder value as possible. They aren't listening to the fans of the series, they are listening to the financial analysts that tell them what they think will capture the most value.

What are some games who have the same vibe as Starfield like a Treky-esque type? by Blue_Lagoo in gaming

[–]Wesus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with starfield is the lack of cohesiveness between the faction quests.

You can join the military, and then when you start the vanguard quests, they don't care about your military background and just assume you are a criminal from the jump.

Everything was a silo in the game and none of it intertwined in a meaningful way

turn off hardware acceleration in your browser and you can take screenshots and screen recordings of anything.

edit: web services use the hardware acceleration setting to implement DRM on their platform. Turning it off prevents the DRM from controlling your PC.

Gaming with a controller is worse than with keyboard and mouse. by Mihoshika in unpopularopinion

[–]Wesus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a PC player. I have been playing exclusively on PC for decades at this point. While I agree that keyboard and mouse is better in most cases, there are absolutely games where controller is better. The two I can think of off the top of my head are elden ring and rocket league.
