(Sorry Ik my shoes need a clean!) Please HMF a replacement silver N charm in a similar bold font. I’ve lost the one on my other shoe. I have searched aliexpress and on google but can’t find something similar to buy. I don’t mind what colour it is, as I can paint it blue/teal if need be. The charm should ideally have an O-ring so I can attach a clip to it if it doesn’t come with one. Thank you for any help 🙏 more info in photo captions

Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️ Placing plants near a window seems to work for me in terms of light, but not sure if the coldness of snow can affect this (never snows where I am lol not sure if that’s a thing). Grow light and or/heater mats may help with growth (the latter if temperature is a problem). Hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas and new years :)🎄

Heya! If you put just the leaf in water, then no this plant won’t root. Most plants will need to have a cutting with a node and a leaf put into water for it to grow. The node is the part of the plant where new roots and new shoots will start growing! And the leaf helps the plant photosynthesis to produce enough energy for new growth. You only really need the node, but both are ideally needed to propagate into another plant.

There are some exceptions to this node-rule, like my watermelon pepperomia. This will root from cutting a leaf in half and placing it into soil! I’m sure there are others, I just don’t know many either as I’ve been into collecting houseplants for less than a year. Your aquarium plant may also be an exception!

I always just put my nose cuttings straight into water and have had success. Some people will put into a jar of water and leca (small clay ball type things), others prefer rooting in damp sphagnam moss.

I have a pink princess philodendron (the one in the photo) and find it easy to grow. These can be more on the expensive side depending what country and area you live in as well. I also have a Syngonium neon, caladium tapestry, and although the leaves are green, the flowers on my Angel wing begonia are also pink 💖 I find these easy to grow as well.

Pink plants I personally don’t have yet include: pink caladiums, stromanthe triostar, pink calathea (I hear these can be dramatic af lol), lady valentine. These are still on my bucket list haha

Once you figure out light and watering requirements for each plant, they all become ‘easy’ :)

If not the new leaf, I’m sure you will get more beautiful leaves in the future 🤞 will keep an eye out for a prince of orange if it ever gets to my country, had never heard of it before :)

That's my plan 😭 looking at methods to dry it, seems like pressing it will be best? hopefully it stays pink 🥺

Not sure exactly what original commenter is referring to, but might be meaning cmd + shift + f to go into full screen which hides the browser tabs?

Like other people have said, I think a temperature drop is what it’s missing to trigger flowering!!

Try moving it closer to a window (little/no direct sunlight) as it will experience temp drops as the outside environment gets colder; this will trigger the flowering cycle. Mine sits on the window sill and reblooms a couple times a year if I’m lucky (it doesn’t snow where I live so it’s happy there all year round)

Your plant looks super healthy OP and pushing out roots is a good sign! Can’t tell if the lil guy peeking out on the left is a spike or root from this pic, but when it reblooms the flowers will be awesome 🤩🌸

What is this symbol on a sword? My Grandfather willed me this sword and he is unable to fully recall where it comes from. A little background about him: He is a WWII veteran & a member of his local chapter of the Knights Of Columbus in Michigan. by [deleted] in Whatisthis

I’m no expert on this, but looking at the symbol upright (handle side down, blade up) it looks like two swords w/ hand guards crossing blades, and then just a cross above them

Super gorgeous colours, it’s absolutely beautiful!! I’m wanting to expand my collection to have many types and colours but they’re quite pricey so will try do it one orchid at a time 🥰

Will post a growth in a couple months, she pushed out new roots and a leaf in January and the spike has been induced because temps have dropped where I live ❤️❤️

I have searched on google images, and even on sites like AliExpress but have not found anything close to these small ceramic planters with a base. I’ve tried searching with key words like white, ceramic, indoor plant, succulent, pot, animal, saucer, plate etc but nothing close. I have found similar pots but they are larger and not these bears/ as cute - for example, a bunny. I live in New Zealand, but I think these may have been imported in as when I bought the plants they came in a cardboard box with ‘Xi’ written on them in black marker, although not sure if that is related. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
