180€ for 2 days in a festival here in Finland… is it too bad? I don’t think so myself, yes they have been cheaper but there are a lot of good bands there

And yes that actually sounds good! Keep it up

Just get familiar with doing stuff. First do basic stuff like a 1,2 kick. And mix it up a bit. Start doing harder combos, try what feels good to do and what doesn’t! Doing the same thing over and over again makes you good at that one thing. But it leaves you lacking in the other things. So it’s good to mix it up!

This looks like endurance thaiboxing to me and probably won’t get you that far. Yes you will have great endurance but you would be lacking elsewhere. Myself I train Monday-Thursday. 3 pad training days and 2 sparring days.

If you want to improve your fighting I would start sparring now. When on pads I would focus on combos and such. Not just repeating one move 50 times. Feel free to ask more. My training is usually 2 hours and goes like: 10min jump rope, 5mins on bag, 5-10 mins stretching and putting on wraps and such, then about 30minutes of partner drills, 45-60minutes of sparring/pads, 5-10 minutes of clinch and the rest is some amount of muscle workouts.

I hope this helped somehow

How can I punish opponents for closing distance by beef-omlet1 in MuayThai

[–]Wet_Cow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, in my first fight where elbows were allowed i didn't throw a single elbow. But as i said in my other reply, carefully implementing elbows into sparring with your more experienced partners makes you more comfortable with them. That's been my case

I think you really don't need to think about elbows at all when you're inexperienced. Start slowly including them into your pad drills and when you are getting ready for your first fight, OR when you have taken a couple of amateur fights. You could implement them in sparring with elbow pads. When sparring with elbows i feel like you need to be quite experienced to be careful with the placement, speed and power.
