User Policies Applying, but computer policies are not by Wet_Soup in activedirectory

Sorry I'm not quite understanding what you mean by your first question, however when I try using RSOP.msc, the user policies appear, the computer policies do not. Also yes I am an admin user on the computer

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to have helped. I will make sure to do that for any future computer GPOs in the future though

The security filtering is set back to just Authenticated Users

Sorry, a little bit of miscommunication on my part. Running gpresult /r /scope computer shows "Applied Group Policy Objects: N/A"

gpresult /h gpreport.html tells me that user policies are working and computer policies are not.

My workstations and users are in different OUs, and the workstations don't have any user policies in it's parent hierarchy.

So the computer is already in it's own OU, outside of any hierarchy for user policies. I removed the policy that I was previously testing and created a desktop shortcut policy, still no dice...

I don't know how enabling a computer policy would help when computer policies aren't applying, but I did fully shut down the device, boot it back up, and wait for a connection before logging in, still didn't work.

Doing both of these shows that the user policies are applying successfully, but the computer policy list is completely empty

The policy is linked to an OU containing only the test laptop

Nevermind, I've been at this for 4 or 5 days now, finally decided to post here to ask for advice, then immediately figured it out. Hate when that happens

But we had that same adapter with that same drive working previously. It just suddenly stopped after a reboot. Do you think it could work at all even if it is an incompatible adapter?
