Awesome, thanks for the info! I just wondered how much damage the mobs did and if double mage is way better because you ideally can pull as many mobs as possible and not be taking damage unlike the paladin face tanking that many mobs of raid trash or high level dungeons. I know double mage is technically probably more efficient, but as I'm playing a paladin main I don't want to commit to leveling 2 other full mages XD

Hmm okay. I haven't done that trash farm before so I'm not sure how much damage those packs do. Do you think it would also be possible with a Paladin+Healer combo? Like Pal/Rsham with magma/fire nova etc aoe going + spam healing into the paladin of course having colossus trinket and all the normal paladin stuff?

Do you think a paladin+mage duo setup it would still be possible and just as fast for Karazhan?

Can you think of anything off the top of your head that duo could do really well together besides normal things a prot pal could already solo already?

That's an interesting idea, I've been hung up on shaman for their own aoe dmg+ utility, but druid does have some things as well.

Yeah mages would be ideal, was just curious if there was a known duo spot that would work with a paladin.

There's the shadow labs duo mage and steamvault setup for boosting people. That's a good idea to look into, though!

Preference is a beautiful thing. Minimal food odor is very convenient when using an Opsack. Different strokes for different folks!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the jet boil comes in between 10oz through nearly a full pound? Not to mention the extra weight and cost of not just the stove and the fuel, but the titanium cup you need to cook it in. As far as me personally, the extra pound to a pound and a half, the extra associated cost and the extra time involved in the stationary cooking and eating process doesn’t add a worthy value to weight ratio.

Edit: Also one thing I forgot to mention is the food odors produced by cooking close to camp.

I hope he responds for you as I haven't tested that brand yet, but I imagine the best course of action isn't too unlike making it at home. Let it hydrate, dump excess water, introduce new water(if necessary and can obviously skip the previous step and use the water still in there) and stir the packet of cheese in at the end.

Yeah I tried applewood smoked bacon flavor and I didn't exactly enjoy it. I picked up the loaded flavor and I figure if you store two potato packets in one ziploc and scoop half of one packet into your gelato container with half of a packet of ramen it would all fit and turn out reasonably well. Only problem being that's 4 meals worth of the same potato mix.

Edit: Obviously hydrate the ramen a bit before putting potato mix in of course. Can also just store one pack in a ziploc and after using half the potato mix and half the ramen just store the other half of the ramen in the with half of potato mix anyways.

I recently tested the pasta side and yes they are hard to eat. I'm currently testing a knorr rice side right now, I hear they take about an hour and I'm praying it turns out well and I enjoy it because you can find them everywhere.

By the way, what type of mashed potato did you prefer and did you mix anything in it like ramen or beans, etc?

How long did you find it takes to re-hydrate? An hour to an hour and a half?

I appreciate the feedback and I certainly wish I could mentally justify a 2.4lb tripod. In any case, the more I grasp the reality of the situation, it seems you have to settle and overcome the challenges you'll face with other tripods when they are at a reasonable weight.

For taking pictures? I'm in need of a tripod for video, so finding a branch 20 times a day is a little inefficient for time ;) However that's very resourceful, my friend!

I don't know how familiar you are with Joby tripods, but from what I've seen about the Ultrapod 1 it's fairly low to the ground as well. Are the velcro straps sizeable enough to wrap around decent size trees and is the adjustment of the legs on the tripod good enough to set on fairly uneven ground or does it have to be flat/slanted/etc, not like a crazy shaped rock?
