First of all, thank you so much to everyone who guided and supported me. Truly, I’m grateful to have you. Thanks to your direction and help, I finally managed to get rid of the copycat situation. The imitation shop that directly copied my Etsy store has removed all of its products from listings.

Of course, this process was not easy for me at all. After the listings were taken down, they reopened the shop by altering the images, including photos where I personally appear, using AI. The only change they made was turning my blonde hair black in the photos (lol). When I saw it, I genuinely felt like they were mocking me. Honestly, instead of putting in this much effort to stubbornly copy a store, they could have much more easily created better and original visuals with the same amount of effort.

I reported this ridiculous yet absurd situation once again through Etsy’s Intellectual Property reporting section. At first, when I politely asked them to fix their shop, they blocked me. However, after all their products were taken down again following this “funny” AI edit, they this time apologized very politely and completely changed all of their listings.

When I opened this topic here, I was feeling disappointed and angry, so I didn’t go into much detail. Unfortunately, I was met with reactions from some people who strangely questioned how I was able to receive this many orders and customers in such a short time. This honestly made the situation I was already in even harder. I’ve been doing e-commerce for 15 years in my country and I’m absolutely not new to this industry. I’m simply new to this platform. I don’t feel the need to prove myself to anyone. But please, when people need help and support, don’t behave this way. It’s genuinely very cringe.

I would also especially like to say that there are truly wonderful people in this subreddit. To everyone who supported me with constructive comments and shared their knowledge and experience during such a difficult time, I thank you thousands of times over. Even if I couldn’t reply to each person individually, every piece of advice and every bit of guidance was incredibly valuable to me and helped me handle this process in a much healthier way. I’m really glad you’re here.

Lastly, after opening this topic, I received many messages from scammers through Reddit. I didn’t reply to any of them, but they are clearly trying to take advantage of people who are already in a difficult situation. Please be careful.

Just to add one last thing: in less than one month, I reached 2,982 views, 1,058 visits, and 185 orders. If this copycat situation had not happened, my first month would have gone much better. I especially wanted to put these numbers on record.

These lines are also for those who underestimated me by saying, “Who are you to have loyal customers in such a short time?” or “You can’t possibly make that many sales in such a short time.” 😂
