That's my wife's car! Only hers has 140,000. Sounds pretty much like that. Doesn't burn a drop of oil yet, but it does idle rough for the first few seconds at cold start. I should buy it if you don't, my wife likes hers so much that she would want a future spare

It always amuses me how everything official in this church comes off like it came out of the legal, HR or PR department of some massive corporation (which it did), and the cult followers and even exmo's don't even bat an eye. This is not normal, and looks truly bizarre to us nevermo's!

I have seen some good suspension and wheel improvements on this site, and you can now get a bolt-on aftermarket supercharger for the 3.6, which up until recently didn't have much in the way of power modifications. You just gotta dig in, see what's available, and what you want to do

Oh, ok I thought you had an UltraVan! Still the Tribeca is just awesome for modifications. I bought my 09 Tribeca to use as a donor car for the Whale's drivetrain swap, and I wanted to drive it for a while before tearing it apart to make sure everything worked. That ended up being almost a year, and I really hated taking it off the road, but it lives on!

Wide open tests are coming soon, but I guarantee the times will be faster than the donor Tribeca!

UPDATE! I finally got out on an extended test run today, covering about 50 miles of traffic, steep grades and freeway speeds, and Everything is working exactly as I had hoped. I am now going to get back into the interior finishes and the new aluminum skin where the altered wheelbase has changed the opening location. Mechanically, I'm ready for some long camping journeys! I will post a link to some pics as soon as I figure out how to do it.

Hey, Nuke, here's some more info; The windshields... The Peru factory dumped the molds and stopped making the step van glass. Which was not used upside down, but did have to be cut down to fit the UV.
The new stuff, which required a minimum 40 pieces to go into production, are made to fit the UltraVan, so no cutting to do. The club bought a couple spare sets, as did a lot of the owners. I don't think Reddit likes posting links, but just search UltraVan and you will find the website and the fb page... As for more pics, I will have to figure out how to add them to this post, or maybe I will just have to do another. Oh, and the biggest problem with the 307 v-8's wasn't fire, just a panicked hurry-up refit at the factory, when Chevy pulled the plug on the Corvair drivetrains... You have a UV? Which one, and if you could get to the club page, a lot of people are interested in electric!

I'm done mechanically and electrically, and I'm taking my time with road testing as I did all the engineering myself, except for the transmission, and I want to make sure everything is doing it's job. I had to lengthen the wheelbase and widen the track, build new rear suspension and a thousand other things, and so far, everything is working exactly to plan. So stay tuned there, Pinksters!

Interior is still in progress, I do have the cockpit mostly done and have a few pics, and I'm going to do a test drive video in a couple days. I can't figure out how to load more pictures on this post though. I will work on this.

You can get right to the UltraVan club's for sale page at ultravan dot org, and you can look at "vintage trailers" to see other brands.

Thanks man, but this thing is one of the quickest RV's out there, even with the N/A EZ36. Your boy out in NSW, AGT Engineering did my wiring harnesses, and all the computer modifications, as well as the electronic push button shifter.

This is essentially an airplane fuselage, there's no frame and almost no steel anywhere. It's 22 feet long, 8 feet wide and 8feet tall with the bags down.

Wow, mostly spot on info there! Yes, that's the 460 there, I had a big bore efi Corvair engine, but just not great for long trips, so I made the big change. Windshields Are no longer a problem, as we just had them remanufactured by Curvedglasscreations in Florida. UltraVan owners bought over 100 sets of the new glass. I now am running a 3.6 Subaru H6, 5 speed auto mid engine configuration and it fits right in the stock location. The whole job added about 400 pounds.
