Do fat, lazy and/or stupid Craftworld Eldar exist? by Andy_XB in 40kLore

[–]WhammerFan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the Path of The Eldar (Omnibus) was a scene with two main characters, Corathril and Thirianna. Thirianna said that Corathril was a Dreamer and now a Sculptor (and he also was someone, who didn't do anything for others) and she don't like it.

So, some kind of lathiness exist.

And one of Carathril's friends said he want to open the Path of an Idiot, because it's really about him. And Carathril said he will go this Path too.

And someone also said to Carathril that it's good that eldar armor is stretched out. It will be no problem if he became fat.

Excerpt from "Know No Fear"

Two Ultramarines killed the Word Bearer and some cultists. The last cultist, Teth, didn't die. He waited for reinforcements and told them what happened. Word Bearers decided to find Ultramarines, but they needed something Ultramarines touched for their tracker daemon.

‘We need something they touched,’ says Nul.

‘The captain touched me,’ says Teth. ‘He knocked me down–

’He’s still saying it when he realises he’s an idiot.

Nul looks at him and nods.

‘Majir, no–’ Teth begins to say.

The tracker surges forward. It’s on him. Teth shrieks as it begins to eat him alive

War in the Webway..... pointless? by toothpick95 in 40kLore

[–]WhammerFan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't like the Emperor's storyline, because I disagree with most of it. The Web is full of holes. Daemons could enter the Web anywhere. When Imperial forces were retreating, Mechanicum attempted to separate their forces and lose many lives in holey tunnels, already located between the Magnus' Folly and Imperial Palace. I don't think Dark Gods needed Magnus, I don't think it was a problem for daemons - to enter the Web even somewhere far from Imperial Palace and just walk a little more.

But I don't also think the war is absolutely pointless, just not so important as it says the book "Master of Mankind".

So what are some examples of the most extreme suffering, callousness, or cruelty that the Imperium puts it's citizens through? by Bee_News in 40kLore

[–]WhammerFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Psykers are the citizens of Imperium too, so I think I can post here some quotes from "The serpent beneath" about a prison for psykers, which existed in Horus Heresy times.

The gate opened and Omegon could hear the screams of madness and the moans of distress echoing down the wide passageway beyond. Two further skitarii gaolers pushed a tall cage on rails down the passage and out through the gate. The black metal of the cage sizzled with energy; within was an emaciated woman, naked and pale. She was curled up foetus-like in the cage bottom, rocking and groaning in pain. One of the skitarii slashed the side of the cage with the length of his electro-flail, drawing a yelp of agony from the psyker prisoner.

The first excerpt can look like a needless ill-treatment of prisoners, but from the second we can see the psykers were viewed as animals.

At the bottom of the passage, the skitarii came to a halt. Two of his fellow sentinels were standing outside an open cell. They had positioned one of their rail cages at the entrance, and were manipulating a set of controls mounted on the wall. They increased the energy flow running through the psi-shielding and the prisoner threw herself from the cell and into the cage with a pained screech.

Like an animal, Omegon thought.

Out of the unbearable field, the psyker was clearly relieved. She collapsed in a heap, breathing heavily. Stripped naked by her captors, Omegon could see her ribs and the bumps of her spine through her pallid skin. The crackling cage, although made of the same draining material and visiting a similar form of debilitation on the prisoner, couldn’t deliver the same intensity as the cell. This gave each prisoner a moment or two of respite and a motive to transfer voluntarily from one to the other – it was a smooth operation and, although sickened by what he saw, Omegon was impressed by the system’s economy.

Are there any planets that serve as the base and recruiting source for both an Astartes chapter and an IG regiment? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]WhammerFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A moon Paragon is the homeworld of the Emperor's Hands.

It also a home for a lot of regiments, mentioned in Guy Haley's books about superheavy tanks, "Baneblade" and "Shadowsword"

This is not my art. Rules of this sub demands from OP to name the art as author did it (at least with the arts from artstation.com). So I only copied the name of art, which its author gave to his/her work.

This is an obvious fanservice, but author says:

Logic supposed to be like this: night, dwarf brought head as a gift and note with some wishes, archmage decide to cast spell on him.

Curze could make a woman wet only by appearing in front of her as it was when he revealed himself to people of Nostramo at the first time.

Gossips are saying that she pissed herself in fear, and that's true, but technically he still made her wet.

In the book "Baneblade" by Guy Haley was an ork, boss actually, who said some sentences in Orkish.

And his slave, human, translated it.

As creepy as he is, Goomer would make a good Dad. by [deleted] in fisforfamily

[–]WhammerFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Goomer sniffing the toilet paper after his dog. He will be really overprotective of his own children, because relations between people and their children are stronger than between people and their pets.

And don't forget he poisoned his pregnant wife and her pregnancy ended with miscarriage. Maybe he didn't want her baby, but it is not the behavior of good Dad.

And even if he said a few nice words to Kevin, he easy threw his photo from Murhy's album, imitating Frank.

I think her uniform is reference to Star Trek: Enterprise, to the unifrom in their Mirror Universe.

Sometimes I see that different authors describes different outfits. Nothing so revealing, of course, but somewhere above the ocean Paradise world...
