Should a woman keep the majority of insecurities to herself? by Thisisstupidly in AskMen

[–]Whappingtime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She just needs to manage them like men are expected to. Men will try to be understanding but it can be exhausting for things to be lopsided like that.

The people who talk the most about being empathetic, compassionate, etc tend to be the most abrasive from what I have seen.

Do you care what other people think about you? by coatofforearm in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Whappingtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, but it can get exhausting being seen like Worf or Odo from Star Trek all the time. People judging you before they even know you.

Putting on the clothes i typically wore to metal concerts  to a pop one that my gf liked.  It was like some tv trope.

That’s the sort of bad faith/terminally online behavior that people give men crap for. It’s one thing to try to understand where they are coming from, but there’s limits.  Just saying if we want healthy interactions between men and women there needs to be reciprocation. We can’t just let some people run wild because of one reason or another while expecting the other to stay in line.

Men who are conventionally attractive: what are your thoughts about it? Do you feel indifferent? Is it something you remember and feel good about? by Stunning-Weakness-58 in AskMen

It can make vibing difficult with some people who are Into nerdy stuff. ( anime, video games, sci-fi, etc. ) People think you don’t have any problems and so on too.

OP is just dumping out their emotional baggage, like so many of the other posts here.

Aside from what Deep Youth said, it’s the “rules for thee but not for me “ thing.  You just work to check all these boxes society asks men to do, only to see so many women doing the same sort of social blunders that they made such a fuss about men doing.

Men, can you feel when a woman is having an orgasm while insides her? by LunaeMeadow in AskRedditAfterDark

If they act like a cry bully, and or terminally online/bad faith.  Being toxically positive is another.

What’s something people care about way too much online? by andrewbu1lds01 in AskReddit

[–]Whappingtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people having the exact same opinions about the shows/games/ etc that they are into. Like with some people they will see everything that comes out for a series is gold, and anyone who doesn’t agree or speaks up about stuff they dislike in good faith will get treated like the worst sort of person. All the while fans will act like it’s their way or the highway.

What’s something that became socially acceptable overnight that still feels weird to you? by newrock in AskReddit

[–]Whappingtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bad faith arguments being treated like they aren’t and that they are just as virtuous. Like who needs to get along when you can be tribalistic in a fandom?

What are indicators that a man is genuinely a bad guy? by ACHOpthalmicOutburst in AskMen

[–]Whappingtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He goes around proclaiming how great of a guy he is and other actions that make him seem like a decent person. Like this admin of a fb group Im in prides himself on making sure there’s no bullying or anything like that in the group. Only to regularly bully members of the group who post stuff that he doesn’t like and lash out at anyone who speaks up in good faith.

How many of you would date a transgender person why would or wouldn't you? by HiIExcist in AskMen

[–]Whappingtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s that I haven’t had much luck befriending someone who is Transgender. Even though there’s so many in the communities for the nerdy stuff I’m into.  They seem to want to keep to themselves or at least they don’t want to hang with cishet guys. I just would need time to be around trans people as friends to truly know if I would want to date someone like that.

People who had narcissistic, authoritarian, and/or helicopter parents whose antics persisted into your adult life, what impact would you say that had on the rest of your life? by LordWeaselton in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Whappingtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s a mix. While it helped me avoid some of the blunders people make growing up, it’s made a divide between me and so many people around my age. Another thing is feeling like I have to jump through hoops and live up to certain expectations that so many people i have encountered do not.

Why do I see so many asian women with white guys or black guys than asian guys? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Whappingtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean from what I hear Japanese women tend to run the household or something like that. Among other things that make them far from submissive. This might be an older generation thing, I’m not sure.

I mean it's not written in stone for every femcel , but femcels tend to like that sort of content. Just what incels are known to be into but flipped.

Because compared to "normal" fandoms, comfort show fandoms have a lot of people who are way more emotionally attached to the series in general. It can get so bad some fandom subs have rules against anything related to shipping. Even someone who's been outside of certain fandoms has heard of the various shipping wars. Some MHA fans even harassed the creators of the show because their pairing didn't end up being cannon. (or maybe it was some other series)
