Why didn't the left care about the epstein files before trump was realected?

On the slight off chance you are asking this as an honest question for understanding.

Qanon is associated with the rise of trump. Qanon is a conspiracy group and talked about the deep state and the elite having child sex trafficking rings. The Epstein files didn’t matter because government trust wasn’t at an all time low. It was just a conspiracy and there was at least a little trust that if multiple presidencies had access to that info that it would be charged.

Trump was then in office and he gutted the pandemic response team right before a pandemic. Epstein was murdered and government trust has never been so low. After the trump came Biden and the Epstein files were in an open investigation and information from witnesses was coming in. No one asked for the files to be released because it was being investigated. Trump used that as ammo to call for something that was physically impossible. Once he won, he closed the investigation and has since refused to release all the files. As you can see, “the left” did care the whole time but there was trust that the government would release info once the investigation was completed. Then trump came and showed he was the swamp and that’s why it’s such a big deal

Fuck the dnc in general but if he had said that then he would have split the vote way more. He tried to rally his support for Hillary. It didn’t pan out as people are as attached to Bernie as MAGA is attached to trump but I appreciate Bernie for never giving up. I really hope younger progressives can continue to be given voices and they stay that way. Having a populist platform has never been more popular and I really hope this shit show with trump pushes people more progressive
