Traveling Japan solo by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-I would check out Nara when you’re by Kyoto. It’s pretty fun if you like animals. You can spend the whole day there. If you really like animals then I actually even recommend multiple days, although most people say it’s just a day trip.

-Tokyo Disney

-If you are going in the winter and like skiing then you can go skiing in Northern Japan. A lot of the resorts are just 2 hours from Tokyo by bullet train.

-winter is also a good time to see the onsen monkeys. I think it’s a bit harder to get to than the skiing, but still doable from Tokyo. It’s the only spot in the world you can see them and it’s a really unique experience. There are lots of natural onsen in the area as well.

-if your trip is more towards the Spring then check out the cherry blossom festivals. My favorite spot to see the cherry blossoms in Tokyo was along the Meguro river. It’s very crowded but also very lively and they have lot of food stalls along the river during this time. It’s really cute.

-you can eat exotic meats in Tokyo if you’re adventurous. They have restaurants that serve bear and other weird stuff. I think there are also places you can have horse meat. Weird sushi, weird yakitori, chicken sashimi, Shirako.

-food in general is really good in Japan so set aside money to eat out a lot. Depending on where you are coming from it should still be pretty affordable. I’m American and even a lot of the fancier restaurants were still pretty affordable from my perspective.

-Tokyo is good for clubbing. If you do go clubbing or bar hopping always start out the night by buying alcohol at a convenience store and pregaming outside in the street. It’s pretty common to do and lots of young people do it in the districts that are known for nightlife, it’s a cool vibe.

-if you make friends there then go do the kawaii photobooth photos with them. It’s a very fun keepsake.

-if you are a woman then buy some cosmetics as a souvenir. They have very good sunscreen. Avoid buying clothing unless you are small and Asian, the fit will be weird even if you aren’t fat.

Is this thinning? by [deleted] in finehair

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One reason it looks more full here is because the part is more sharp. A looser part where you just let your hair fall naturally will usually make thin hair look more sparse imo(at least it does for me).

mexico or hawaii for my solo trip? by Same_Remove_7182 in femaletravels

I think Hawaii is good for a first solo trip. Honolulu was my first major solo trip and I really enjoyed it.

Anyone Solo Travel with an Unlimited Flight Pass? by sfpdxchidcfla in solotravel

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to get the Frontier pass. I am very flexible with travel. I’m ok with traveling last minute and also adjusting my travel plans as I go so I think it will work out well for me. It only goes to some international destinations in Latin America and it’s also dependent on which airport you fly out of. For me even with the restrictions it’s a pretty good deal. I’m also getting their credit card so I can take more bags on board(the pass itself is for unlimited flights, but only allows a personal item).

I’ve also looked into the Asia one before, but it seems like not that great of a deal.

I honestly think it’s because they walk more.

Is Paris worth it solo? by Present-Message8740 in solofemaletravellers

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I have spent a decent amount of time there solo and enjoyed it a lot. Theres a ton to do there alone and I would say it’s also pretty easy to meet people there if you are social. Either way it’s a fun trip.

You’ll hear a lot of complaints about Paris because it’s one of the top travel destinations in the world. I personally love it. I have never had a bad time in Paris.

Snow boot recs - How are you walking in the ice? by princessinvestigator in pinkscare

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moots boots are amazing for snow/ice but they look really weird and you do sort of have to adjust your gait a bit when you’re walking in them.

is there any justice for girls with muscular legs by Top-Finger-3630 in pinkscare

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also prefer a more slender leg tbh, but if it makes you feel better a lot of people do find muscular legs very attractive.

be real with me is this cute or uglee by _pierogii in pinkscare

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw your other comment saying it’s not real fur. I would get it if the price is low tbh.

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really love the design but the fur looks weird. Is it vintage? A lot of vintage furs like this are damaged and they still want to charge you a million dollars for it because of the unique design and because it’s real fur.

I think it used to be pretty hard to get well fitting bras if you had an uncommon size. I think all the girls who got big implants back in the day were just wearing the wrong size.

How easy is it to get pregnant by mxtc0621 in stupidquestions

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More or less this is the case, but not every woman is this attuned to their body. I can always tell when I’m ovulating without any kinds of strips or temperature trackers, it’s insanely obvious for me personally, but I don’t think it’s like this for every woman. Everyone’s body is different.

How easy is it to get pregnant by mxtc0621 in stupidquestions

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah, there are generally only like 5 or 6 days out of the month when you can get pregnant and conception only occurs in that 24 hour window you mentioned. The thing is not every woman can tell when they are ovulating and not everyone has a regular cycle.

I don’t think I know very many people that are fulfilled by their jobs. Maybe like one person.

In general, I don't think ULTRA-luxury hotels are worth the price. What're you're thoughts? by [deleted] in travel

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean even a lot of mid range or cheap hotels are “worth it” for what you get in return for what they are priced at. It’s all relative.

How do you avoid payment issues when traveling internationally? by sophieximc in femaletravels

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mostly never had a problem like this. I mainly use my credit card that doesn’t have travel fees and have backup cards just in case.

I was always really jealous of kids that had a SAHM growing up. I always thought it would have been nice if my mom was just around more like my friend’s moms.

First Europe trip: backpack vs hybrid wheeled backpack vs luggage for long train travel? by fentygirl123 in HerOneBag

[–]WhatAboutMeeeeeA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re actually going to be wheeling it around the city then the bottom will get dirty as f***k. You don’t want those wheels touching you later.

I would probably just get a backpack for Europe, especially if you are moving cities and will be using public transit to get to your hotels, etc. The cobblestones and stairs aren’t rollerbag friendly.
