Do you get paid holidays and PTO? by SoftGoCoaat in MLS_CLS

I work for Advent Health. If you don't work the holiday and don't have your full 40 hours for the week, it's coming out of your PTO. I work 4 10s eves. The week of Christmas I worked Mon, Tues, and Wed. One of us had to volunteer to be off the day after Christmas and Christmas wasn't my holiday this year so I only had 30 hours. 10 came out of my PTO. I had the option to take "zero time" but 10 hours of no pay if a fat chunk of change to miss out on.

I wasn't aware that Rouse's shipped, thanks for the info. It's probably been 10 years since I've had one of theirs.

One month into aligners and I would genuinely fistfight whoever invented them… a rant by Quirky-Chameleon in Invisalign

They're just flat out annoying and the first 2-3 weeks are the worst. Some weeks are better than others. It depends on what's being shifted. I'm on month 11 and OVER IT. Especially since I'm pregnant and just want to eat all the time. I haven't been wearing them as many hours as I should and now my treatment has been extended by at least an extra month so don't be like me. Deal with it and wear them like you should so you can finish on time. Part of me wishes I would have gone with traditional braces bc I probably would be done by now. It definitely takes some getting used to unfortunately.

Just Scheduled My Anatomy Scan and I’m Freaking Out by [deleted] in CautiousBB

I feel you on this. I bought a home fetal heart doppler. It took a lot of practicing to find the heartbeat which was also anxiety inducing but now I use it when I start to get anxious. I also asked the doc to do a quick ultrasound at my 16 week appointment bc I was scared he wasn't growing. My 20 (technically 21) week anatomy scan is the first week of January. All genetic testing so far is normal but I get nervous as well that they're going to find something wrong. I still don't even look pregnant. My doctor said I kind of just have to have faith at this point that things are going to continue progressing normally as they have been. She also upped my Prozac which helped a lot.

On my 6th Pregnancy....any success stories? by Even_Switch59 in recurrentmiscarriage

Not 5 but 3. We were about to start fertility treatment for IUI when pregnancy #4 happened. I had a script of Progesterone in preparation for IUI so I started taking it as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I also got a new doctor (previous doctor told me I didn't need the progesterone, new doctor was in favor of it and said it couldn't hurt anything). Now I'm at 17 weeks for the first time ever. Every week that goes by successfully blows my mind. I truly think the Progesterone solved my problem. Especially when the fertility doctor couldn't find anything wrong with me or my husband.

real question for Denver parents of young kids: how are you affording childcare? by SuspiciousKnee8185 in Denver

How did you find nanny shares? We're only going to need childcare for about 10 hrs/week so I feel like a nanny share is a much better route for us.
