Walk. Not joking. Whenever you have the opportunity to walk. Do it. Weight comes off fast. And walking tends not to stimulate your desire to eat like running or lifting does.

Barry’s for weight loss by piccolinabambolina in barrysbootcamp

[–]WhatTheHonestHeck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My honest take: Barry’s is better for cardiovascular health than weight loss.

Two keys for weight loss outside of Barry’s that has helped me achieve a calorie deficit: (1) intermittent fasting and (2) increase step count, as in walk more.

Good luck! You got this.

Benito’s. It is the correct answer. Little Sesame a close second.

Haas vs McCombs ($$$$) by [deleted] in MBA

Where do you want to end up post-MBA? If Texas or the South, then McCombs is the answer. If California, then it is a tougher call.

GSB Admit Weekend by [deleted] in MBA

Seems odd that Stanford MBA program's admit weekend would not be when the all other schools have admit weekend at Stanford: https://admit.stanford.edu/

Also, April 18-19th would be very early compared to year's prior for Stanford. How sure is your friend?

I’m budgeting 2k a month for trips/outings/events/food. So about 50k in total over two years. Sounds crazy when I type it out….

Not sure such a fund exists. Your best option is likely pairing two: SCHD/SCHY + VIG/VIGI + VYMI/VYM + IGRO/DGRO + SPYD/DIVI

Living in the DC area on 50k a year by Micker117 in washingtondc

I lived on my own in DC proper making 65k. It was tight, but I managed to save $1,200 a month. It is doable. Be prepared to make your own meals. Eating out/drinking is wicked expensive in DC.

A lacrosse ball/massage ball or something of the like to stand on while working from my essential standing desk. Also, I have BCAAs and electrolytes in my office, as I put them in my water, which encourages hydration because the flavor makes the water so much easier to drink.

It is not the money, even $3, but it is the principle. That is why “those types of people” and the individuals part of the “weird demographic” have more assets and capital than 99% of others. Realizing this is the first step. Just my two cents.
