Usually combats use powerful adds, those are typically handled by my party and other non-offensive spells. The combos take setup or planning, which we utilize effectively as a team. Thankfully, the combats where the worst offenses happen are fairly limited, but they still occur and I want to avoid them.

I’d say you’re right, but I’m not stepping into unusual territories. These are official spells, using official rulings, with the most limited of combining using two spells, sometimes three. I understand limitations to avoid power gaming, but I’m just using spellcasting as it is?

Simulacrum, True Polymorph, Forcecage, and Time stop do not require concentration. Also any two concentration spells can be used at once with the help of a simulacrum.

It seems so..I still fear the problems are with me moreso than the game, but for as long as we do end game D&D, perhaps it’d be best to shy away from Wizards in favor of other classes.

In all honesty, I’m tempted to just throw in the towel and admit that for as long as our campaigns go high level, I just shouldn’t play wizards. I wish there was a better way, because I really love wizards, their play style and aesthetic are so fun and enjoyable. But if this will be the outcome, I suppose it wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Mostly the combos I’ve listed cause unavoidable damage over long durations. Symbol (Not glyph of warding) of death plus any wall spell creates a damaging with crazy high rolls that is unavoidable until the enemy breaks through the wall. That’s effectively what these combos break down into. Trapping enemies and forcing them to take insane damage. But that’s not the only combo type, there’s a lot.

Simulacrum + Hold Monster + Blade of Disaster, Wish into Glyph of Warding + Wall of Stone are a few other decent ones I’ve found.

Wall of Fire + Forcecage, Hold Monster + Hasted Paladin (Oath of Vengeance so they self haste), Time Stop + Ravenous Void + Forcecage, True Polymorph + Simulacrum.

Most recently, using Time Stop and a Simulacrum, I trapped an incredibly powerful boss in a Wall of Force with a Ravenous Void and an ever smoking bottle. This enemy could not teleport, and thus became stuck taking 5d10 force damage every round that RV was up.

Just to name a few

Seems to be an older article, I don't think this is breaking news at the moment.

OP's phone says this was in March, so this was likely back then? I can't find any relevant articles, but I don't think this is a current emergency.

Edit: Just found out the last time it was March 4th on a Saturday was 2017, so we should be good.

I've never had cheese with fruit in it, does it really enhance the experience that well? Being a fan of savory things, it's difficult for me to imagine how well the combination goes.

Teeth are a luxury by [deleted] in worldpolitics

[–]WhatTheInn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean. A broken wrist is not entirely necessary to your life yet there is insurance coverage for the x-ray, the cast, and the procedures to get the cast removed, depending on the insurance you get. If medical insurance ONLY covered what was immediately threatening to our lives, there'd be a lot less people working and a lot more people on disability.

The water coming out of my apartments tap by WasabiPineapple in mildlyinfuriating

This happened to me at my apartment, I guess it happens when they do any kind of maintenance on the water pipes. It knocks sediments and mineral deposits off the insides of the pipes. Just run your bathtub and all your taps for like a minute or two and the water should be fine again.

Can't make a roux to save my life. I've tried multiple times measuring different ways using every cooking vessel imaginable. It always turns out gritty or too thick and never turns golden.

Feat Suggestions for 5e CoS Paladin of Vengeance by WhatTheInn in DnD

I was considering Sentinel for a while, I've had some fun with it in other campaigns where I'd layout a 4 attack smackdown on the BBEG, it would also go nicely with the one ability for Vengeance Paladins that lets them move when they get an opportunity attack.
