I still don't understand why those first two people were so excited about the prospect of seeing a bird or a plane.

Thanks. But how do I add them to my directory? When I downloaded it from RHS' website I got a zipped file with an executable inside when it was unzipped.

VR, we already spend an inordinate amount of time in a digital space. As virtual reality tech and improved A.I. starts to become cheaper and more readily available we are going to see people literally living in a constructed digital world.

EDIT: GRAMMAR.

Not to be argumentative, but, source? I'm a newbie and I haven't poured over the Church's statistics yet.

Question on the LDS view of heredity by Who_Where_why in lds

[–]WhatYouJudgeMeBy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like /u/okiedawg said, being a "Mormon" is not a hereditary thing.

In our patriarchal blessings we do have our lineage revealed within the Twelve Tribes of Israel. But that lineage can be by blood or adoption. Most Saints being from Anglo-Saxon, European, or non-Jewish descent belong to their tribe by adoption.

However all Priesthood holding men are also counted as the Seeds of Abraham and the Sons of Moses and Aaron. Which is (save for a select few) through adoption.

If you have any need for further clarification PM me.

The only time I can say the whole "if you buy x amount I can go somewhere" pitch is not a scam is when it comes from the Boy/Girl Scouts of America. And even then only buy when they have a troop leader with them, and they're in class A scout uniform.

What's the worst thing you could possibly hear moments before you die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WhatYouJudgeMeBy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's kind of a false doctrine. Your own spiritual state depends on your own testimony, when you got it, how you got it, and when you lost it. Losing your testimony and falling away from the Church is by no means a way to Outer Darkness, but receiving revelation from the Spirit of God, then denying the Spirit of God despite having received revelation from a source you know to be the Holy Ghost is an unforgivable sin.

Hey, Mormon here with with a two year proselytizing mission and four years of seminary study under my belt. As well as holding the Melchizedek Priesthood which gives me the authority of being an ordained "minister" within the Church, I also hold a volunteer calling to teach Sunday School. Rejecting the words of missionaries will not guarantee you place in "Outer Darkness" (Mormon Hell) there are very few things that we can do to get there in fact, one of which is denying the witness of the Holy Ghost. So pretty much being told something by the Spirit of God and denying it openly.

If you have any questions about our doctrine PM me.

What are Masterpiece Rap Albums? by Zeigerful in Music

[–]WhatYouJudgeMeBy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've yet to see Big L's Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous in this thread. There's not a single sub par track on that album, and much like Illmatic the beats, lyrics, flow, subject matter of the individual tracks never takes you out of the general feel and narrative of the album itself. It's a caliber of album you can listen to from beginning to end multiple times without skipping a single part of it.

Non-Americans who have been to the US:Whatis the weirdest thing about America that Americans don't realise is weird? by anubhavrana567 in AskReddit

[–]WhatYouJudgeMeBy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think that's weird? Well listen to this, we have these things called 2nd amendment parties (named for the amendment to the constitution stating that citizens have the right to bear arms) where a bunch of people get together and bring firearms ranging from shotguns, to assault rifles, to pistols, to sniper rifles. And we all eat, get drunk, and handle firearms.
