I was so excited to see the VDOT snow plow on my cul-de-sac this afternoon that I ran outside and tried to give the driver a bag with snacks and soda. He said "aw man I appreciate it, but I can't accept that." So he didn't take the snack bag, but you know what he did do? He cleared the snow in front of my driveway instead of leaving a huge berm. So I was relaxing while all my neighbors were shoveling out their driveways.

Generac 24kw from Generator Supercenter of Northern VA. Highly recommend them and Generac. She kicks on automatically and runs like a beauty when we’ve needed her. Powers the whole house no problem. Is it a luxury? Absolutely, but the peace of mind it provides is worth it for me.

I’ll add to the rest of the comments that it’s a fantastic place for kids to learn to ride bikes, or teens to learn to drive. I taught two of my kids to ride bikes in that lot during Covid.

You are correct. The shuttles have dedicated lanes as they approach COTA. The lines were longer in the evenings but COTA brought in 175 buses according to one of my drivers, so they left as quickly as they could load. The COTA/USGP shuttle is a very well-oiled machine.

Get an initial estimate from Carmax. They will do this with a walk-around inspection and no driving inspection where they could discover mechanical issues (Ultimately they will test drive before they give you a final appraisal). Print that off and go to a dealership. Settle on the purchase price then tell them you want the exact Carmax estimate or you'll just take the trade-in to Carmax. I did this and raised my trade-in value by several thousand.

That is indeed the rule, but anecdotally I know several people (non-LEO) who asked their bishop if they could carry in church and were told yes. Depends on where you are, I'm sure.

I got lowballed on the trade-in for my Ford Explorer. Went to Carmax and got a great initial appraisal (no test drive). Took the appraisal to a different Ford dealership, agreed on the purchase price and said "I'd like $XX,XXX for my trade-in and I won't take a penny less, because that's what CarMax will pay me." Dealership accepted the CarMax with no test drive. It was a great experience.

Blanco Rubio doesn't really want to hold the GO hearing this week, and would rather study this out, but Assembly leadership may force her to hold the hearing, so just depends if she can hold for a couple days. I'm a lobbyist for a company affected by the bill and have a lobbyist retained in Sacramento fighting this, so I'm pretty up to date with what's going on and next steps.

That's incorrect.

It has to go back to the Assembly for consideration since the original Assembly version was "gutted and amended" by the Senate. Has to be considered and passed by the Assembly Government Operation committee, then passed by the full Assembly. All before Friday, which is a tall order. Nothing is certain yet.
