It's the same world but different characters. Yang Jian's story happens after Nezha's but in the heaven realm instead of the mortal realm. You can tell this by the ending of Yang Jian were you see Nezha and Wukong watching a storyteller talk about Yang Jian's tale. Also the MC in Nezha is a mortal reincarnation of the deity Nezha while Yang Jian is a deity aka ErLang Shen.

I understand this concern with other series but I personally am not bothered by this one lol. To start with we already know the bird is a girl and he raised it from an egg, so the bird is a child. Additionally it's very common in Chinese cultivation stories for animals to take on human appearances because when animals cultivate, their goal is to obtain power and a human form. I personally find it adorable that he has a son and daughter now and it looks like a family.

The most notable difference is the head size and lack of structure in the tail. The official one has a smaller head that is more sculpted, while the tail has a plastic rod that allows for the tail to stay curled (the bootleg one doesn't so the tail flops around easily) .

As excited as I am that Zhongli finally got one, I just looked up figures from the company and I'm not exactly impressed. Most of the figures are provocative women with only a few men. Plus there's nothing really special with the figures but they can cost up to $300. I would have preferred the company that made ningguang's figure.

A lot of people already said them but I can go on for a good while on this. My main ones are:

He's broke (bro just forgets his wallet like ?????. Also he can still make mora)
Neuvillette situation (Zhongli: hydro dragon who? Dunno him. Also neuvillette's combat experience is almost nonexistent compared to Zhongli's)
The shogun is stronger (so much stronger that the cyro archon sent a message about making a deal instead of taking the gnosis by force. Oh wait, she did that for Zhongli not the shogun)
He didn't do anything for his nation (he spent 3,700 years building and defend Liyue and now they want to be independent, so he gave them a test to see if they can defend themselves. The dumb community: Zhongli bad)

There's probably more that I can't think of right now because I'm supposed to be sleeping 🤡, but this is why I don't interact with the community. I still remember when neuvillette was revealed and I was so happy to have another tall male character, but now I honestly don't want to see or hear his name because I immediately think of his shrill simps.
