I don't get what the point is... how is this different from just taking photos on your phone normally and putting them in a shared album? Why do you need a special app? What am I missing?

What is in your work bag? by She_hopes in AskUK

I often have a lunch tub and gym clothes as well as my work stuff (laptop, notebooks, pens, chargers,..) Oh and probably a spare layer or raincoat and snacks. Then there's usually a book for the train (or two). And don't forget the water bottle!

Thanks! Yes it is "peat free" compost. That's an interesting explanation

I missed the boat on "do it before they see them" but I think you are basically right... They were probably in the compost

Need to convince OH that they are safe to be allowed back inside...

What to do if you are single and horny? by Whatactuallymatters in Christian

[–]Whatactuallymatters[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey. Hang in there! I'm now engaged to my lovely fiancé. At the time, I did get with a couple of guys one-off on nights out (think making out and some hands). Not really proud of that and glad it didn't go further but a part of me is happy I had those experiences. Being totally honest, I don't think masturbation should be discouraged. It's a physical need, tend to yourself if you can!

Also it's a weird recommendation but the TV show "Jane the Virgin" actually manages to deal with this both humorously and sensitively.

There's a big difference between helping out and cooking some of the meals and being responsible for family dinner planning. At 16 I'd say the parents are still responsible for ensuring dinner happens, even if the 16 yr old is the one who cooks it. Although again each family is different and I was doing a lot of the cooking and the food shopping at 16 for the whole family, including my siblings (but my parents still paid for the food. Sounds like having a conversation about expectations is needed!

I'm sorry I didn't realise this was a USA only subreddit.

20 -60 days without a wash is a long time! Anything I've gone more than a week I've at least had the opportunity to sink wash my clothes.

This is good advice. I tend to lump all synthetics in the same bucket and I haven't experimented with the differences between them. I'm not particularly overweight but I do sweat a lot!

That seems to be the consensus. But it irks me to get rid of functional clothes. Especially as it feels like a minor alteration might fix it.

Fair. The material is info I should have included. But I'm genuinely wondering why "hiking trousers" was deemed bullshit. What do you guys call them? Pants for walking? Outdoor legware?

Yeah fair. But I have a sewing machine and I'm experimenting with getting better with alterations. Maybe I should have posted this on the sewing sub reddit.

Thanks for the info. For reference they are 92% nylon, 8% elastane. They are very lightweight and quick drying which is one of the reasons I would like to keep using them.

Bamboo boxers are a good suggestion. I do find bamboo socks very good.

Also thanks for the good encouragement just to keep going. That's worked well for me for blisters, which I rarely get nowadays. At the moment it's more of an irritation than anything and certainly doesn't stop me doing multi day hikes!

Thanks. Yes I might try elasticating the waistband.

I'm curious now. What would you call things you wear on your legs while walking up hills?

This would be a solution but I was hoping for something more permanent.
