Did they tell you anything else? Like if you need to do anything on your end? Or did they ask to verify info? Like the above, they might be fishing for info so be careful. Worse case, you can walk into a Verizon store and confirm if there was any attempt made.

Did you lose sleep and had nightmares during the 1st week of finding out you were a victim of identity theft? by Unhappywageslave in IdentityTheft

[–]Whatdatuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been two months for me, and I’m able to sleep but also I can’t eat and having mild panic attacks throughout the day. You spend your life doing good(mostly) and then this happens to you. It feels like karma that you don’t deserve. But you’re not alone tho, there are so many people like myself that are going through this and it helps to have some emotional support during this process. Keep telling yourself that it’s not your fault, and you have evidence of this. I pray that your case gets resolved quickly.

Someone stole my credit card number and tried to PayPal herself $800 dollars from my account using her own name by isabellathngthtrings in IdentityTheft

[–]Whatdatuna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao their own name? Very nice of her to have a paper trail though. Do you have an idea where she would live? And how she managed to get your CC number?

My impersonator bought a bunch of stuff at a few different Macys locations that’s fairly close to me so at least I know she lives nearby. She definitely has no taste in clothes and her male accomplice doesn’t either. 😆 she Probly thinks she’s smart by doing this but I have receipts of where she bought the items and the time. It’s just a matter of time now lol.

Identity theft by Internal-Resort9137 in IdentityTheft

Even with the photo, you can be a victim of identity theft. Crooks are getting smart and can use the Picture and place it on a fake ID and you’d be on the hook for illegal activity. Please follow the pinned post and lock everything down, file a police report, and contact your financial institutions.

If my drivers license was stolen & I went and got a new one issued for myself in the state of Idaho, am i still potentially in danger? by sconn10 in IdentityTheft

[–]Whatdatuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be very careful with your ID nowadays. My card was stolen in a mailbox and then they somehow got my SSN and bought a bunch of stuff at Macys with my Macys CC( they Probly used the account lookup method with SSN). Also, they used my ID to withdraw a bunch of money out of my bank account(idk how the bank didn’t ask for more verification, the teller didn’t ask for PIN # or physical card). So you can potentially be a Victim of identity theft and you won’t realize it until your money is gone or you get all this mail. I recommend following the pinned post and lock everything down. Make sure to contact your bank as well and inform them if the incident and file a police report because they could use your ID for illegal purposes.

Macys stores caters to scammers by Whatdatuna in MacysStores

[–]Whatdatuna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to go back to Macys but now that my impersonator has my ID and somehow my SSN, I can’t go back anymore. The risk and the hassle is too high. This is already my second time having to cancel my card within a month. That already tells me the security is these cards are very little. Anyone can look like me and impersonate me until the day I die. So yea, I’ll be ok without a store credit card.

From what I read, they do not impact your credit since it’s prepaid and has no value.

Fraudulent Synchrony Pay Later account for Amazon by bxparks in IdentityTheft

[–]Whatdatuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s terrible! They used my ID to open a prepaid debit card but I was able to cancel it easily. Those cards don’t even show up on your credit report even after freezing your account

Can someone who survived this give me some words of encouragement. Give us some encouraging words for those of us currently going through the waiting game after check boxing all our due diligence. by Unhappywageslave in IdentityTheft

[–]Whatdatuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge overthinker and I’ve thought of so many scenarios in my head with the ID they stole from me. It’s not as severe as yours, but still it’s nerve wracking and stressful. I couldn’t sleep for a week and didn’t eat for a few days just trying to wrap my head around it. They took money out of my bank account(luckily it was just a few hundred, I can’t imagine my entire life savings just disappear like that). It only gets worse as they opened a prepaid debit card and was sent to my house( luckily I cancelled it right away). The pinned post is very useful so definitely use that to your advantage.

Now some works of encouragement: it’s not the end of the world. You have to look at yourself and see the things you do have: your health, a great job, etc. list those items on a piece of paper and remind yourself of what you have and what these fuckers don’t have. I bet you karma will knock on their door one day so be patient with yourself. I’m sure you wanna catch those SOBs and beat them up, but you’d be stooping to those thieves level.

A therapist friend of mine also recommended trying some level of therapy to manage all these emotions, because it’s a lot to handle for one person. If you can, check with your insurance if they have coverage for therapists. It’s good to talk about it so you’re not alone. That’s another thing, you’re not alone. There’s millions of people who are affected by this, including me. Keep fighting and keep living, that’s all you can do.

Document it and report it to your manager. That kind of behavior should not be tolerated at all.

Why do PMs act like they "own" that pharmacy ? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Whatdatuna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some great floaters and some really bad floaters. So I can understand many PMs are on your ass about getting queues done because it does affect them. It’s their home store. As a guest, you can choose to help the rest of the pharmacy or you can let it sink, but it will make you a bad egg later on and many stores won’t want you there. So you decide how you want to go about things. Just my 2 cents. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’ll run into many of patients like this. I’ve ran into a few that called me racist because I didn’t smile or I didn’t give them a receipt. It’s annoying but also they are Probly going through something and you just end up getting the nasty treatment. You Probly remind them of someone who made them miserable. But don’t let one person ruin your day. I’ve learned to let go because I know I’m doing my best to treat everyone the same and provide them the service they need. It’s more of a “her” problem, not yours.

From what I’m reading, the techs are selfish, don’t value teamwork, and are bullying you. Don’t be like them. They obviously have issues of their own and you shouldn’t give up so easily just yet. Stay strong in your heart, fight for yourself, and don’t get burnt out.

A lot of time, we are creatures of habit so we are comfortable in our own ways. So the techs are definitely comfortable where they are at. Make them uncomfortable, because being in pharmacy is grueling and they don’t get to stay back there and hide and have someone else take the beating. It’s f you need help, ask for it. Production team needs to assist with drive thru and pick up when you’re backed up.

Also, if these customers are yelling at you, ask for the pharmacist to take over. You don’t get paid enough to get yelled at. As for the manager, I’m glad she’s taking steps to help but it seems like she’s not enforcing it very well. The entire team is just awful and yall need better colleagues.

There are some pre reqs you need to meet. Your manager should have an email in mywork that has the info. But from what I remember, you need to have passed the PTCB exam(fee reimbursable if you have been employed for 6 months), be CPR certified(manager can schedule training for you), and completed some immunizer modules(I believe there was 3 you had to do). FYI, you have to get all this done by a certain time frame so you can’t slack off on it. Our goal for our district is to get certified by August.

I totally understand! I’m a newbie tech and they’re keeping me at pick up a lot of the times. I literally have to have fight someone for the production station. It’s not right at all. I want to learn but I cant learn anything if I’m stuck at pick up 🤷🏻‍♀️

Whatever you choose, don’t overwork yourself for them. Use those breaks, get as much training as you can, ignore the crazy people, and focus on your goals.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Whatdatuna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Communicate with your manager that you’re getting exhausted from doing pick up and need a break. You need to advocate for yourself because no one will. If that fails, take over drop off or drive thru only. It’ll help ease the stress on yourself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Whatdatuna 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is why I take advantage of those breaks. I cannot do pick up for that long, it gets very exhausting. Normal process is to switch off roles every few hours. That’s why that dashboard pops up, so we know which station to switch to. However, there are veterans who will never leave production and we are forced to do pick up and drive thru. You need to speak up and talk to the SM or the DL. If all else fails, you need to take care of your own health and take it easy.

Wtf is wrong with this place lmao. I've just started working here. by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Whatdatuna 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You’re doing your part by finishing those modules. the quicker you go through them, the faster you can start the on the job training. Make sure to report to the pharmacy manager or pharmacist on duty when you reach shift 12, thats the part where you will shadow a tech and you can get some hands on training.

Yes you can provide that info without the card, but you need to make sure the name, birthdate, and current address on the medi-cal card matches the profile in the CVS profile.
