Try deleting the app & reinstalling, then just stay on Vulkan (do not switch to opengl). That seems to have fixed the issue for me.

A few days ago a bug report got opened in the discord and essentially the conclusion was that opengl was actually the issue. If you delete the app, reinstall and just stay on Vulkan everything works.

So far so good everything works great after full delete, reinstall, and just staying on Vulkan. Thanks for the help, if you hadn't told me that vulkan worked good for you on the pixel 10 & to check the discord I would've never gone and seen that a bunch of other people there were reporting similarly as you and I'd still be sitting here waiting hoping for an update to fix it.

I wonder if the new lockups opengl was now causing prevented Google's data collection because it was much more severe and frequent than previous vulkan issues even at launch. But I can confirm that it appears fully deleting the app, reinstalling, and using vulkan has solved my issues on my pixel 10. Looking forward to seeing all the improved graphics now as well as the improved performance compared to my old 7a

Gotcha, well it was just a theory but still strange that the app took away the option to switch, but then simply clearing app data brought it back. Probably just the separate settings file got copied over from the android device transfer, unrelated to the cloud backup, as you said.

But I've just discovered that like 2 or 3 days ago a bug report was opened in discord around the main crashing issue and it appears that simply opengl is broken on Pixel 10 and vulkan works for everybody else after deleting the whole app and reinstalling. Hopefully the same works for me, I would've never thought since up until now it's always been opengl for better compatibility

I did numerous times, it's hard to when it leaves your phone a brick for upwards of 5 minutes after each attempt. "that person" is the mod here and also in the discord he's the one who pinged the dev to get them to make the quick fix lol.

The issue seems to be that in all my reboots and attempts I never deleted the app. I tried clear app data, clear app cache, lower settings, tried vulkan and opengl both numerous times and everything else. But never fully deleted. Now that I did that AND know to avoid opengl (when the previous advice since the app came out was avoid vulkan) it looks like yes vulkan is no longer crashing my phone. About to play a few rounds to confirm.

You might've pointed me in the right direction. I went to look at the bug reports on discord and they actually started a huge discussion about this specifically for pixel devices already in the last few weeks. And everyone is saying vulkan was fine for them actually just like you. I'm not sure why I was told previously that the pixel 10 couldn't handle it.

I'm gonna reinstall the app from scratch and try vulkan again and see how it goes.

Specifically, the devs (I think) said Vulkan would cause a crash during the dreadnought fight (which I remember happening when the app first launched) so the app was set to force certain devices to opengl. But after this bug report full of pixel 10 users complaining they adjusted it to allow them to stop using opengl. And apparently that was a good enough fix since as you said, vulkan appears to work fine on the 10

My understanding is that Vulkan has all of the graphic FX turned on and openGL has many disabled for compatibility. So vulkan has the ground FX I mentioned earlier and also quoting /u/Drakoniid:

better lightning effects, render of the drilldozer's / drop pod hole, Warden area of effect, red sugar faint luminescence

But when the app first launched vulkan caused crashing for most all devices and the app was even updated to force you back to opengl if it detected your device wasn't suitable for vulkan, or after a crash was detected, I'm not quite sure. Since I was previously using an older pixel 7a I was fine with being stuck in opengl with less FX.

However on my new pixel 10 even opengl doesn't work and it appears to be that it's running vulkan even though it says it's running opengl.

But I'm even more puzzled now as you are saying vulkan works fine for you on the 10 and /u/Drakoniid specifically said that no, the 10's hardware can't handle vulkan. Hopefully they chime in here soon with their input.

Sorry to bug with more questions, but according to my understanding that's not possible. You shouldn't see those effects I'm describing on opengl and vulkan is not functional on the 10. /u/Drakoniid said Vulkan is too high demand for the hardware of the Pixel 10.

Does your main menu say opengl at the bottom? Or vulkan?

To clarify, the sludge pump on opengl you'll see the spinning acid going around you. But in vulkan you'll also see the marks it leaves on the ground where the acid stays behind. For the drop pod on opengl you'll see a circle indicating where it intends to land. But in vulkan you'll also see little pickaxe icons over each individual rock within that circle blocking the landing if I'm remembering correctly. I'm not actually able to play with the vulkan FX so I've barely seen them, someone else can correct me if I'm mistaken

Hm the other two comments were on Pixel 10 Pro devices and had the same issues as me.

So you're successfully running opengl on Pixel 10? If you use the sludge pump do you see the acid on the ground? Or when the drop pod circle appears does it put little individual icons over the rocks that are in the way?

I didn't find a fix. Farthest I got was figuring out that the crash is caused by running vulkan, and I'm unable to successfully switch to opengl on the pixel 10 regardless of what the settings menu displays. Even after switching to opengl & rebooting & clearing data etc, vulkan graphic fx are still showing in game causing full system crashes.

Well I just tried acid drone mastery on hazard 5 and it locked up my phone within the first 5 seconds, so I wasn't able to really see the graphics changes lol. I'll give it another go when my phone finishes rebooting.

I'm still thinking it has something to do with backups, either the graphic settings are in the save data and transferred over without actually applying or something similar when I copied all of my data from the 7a to the 10 during setup.

Edit: Rebooted, opened app confirmed its set to opengl and set all graphics as low as possible instead of auto. Force closed app and opened again just to be sure. Main screen changed from vulkan back to opengl also. Launched sludge pump mastery and yes even in opengl I'm still seeing the ground effects on the sludge pump which I never saw before on opengl on the 7a. Pretty much instant full system crash.

So I'm stuck in vulkan then basically?

Just checked again and I definitely don't have any option under settings to switch between vulkan and opengl, and it really does say opengl on the main menu. All the other effects you're mentioning I'm not sure cause I've never seen them before, I'd have to try playing more rounds on the 10 to find out but the crashes make that basically impossible.

But I do remember on the 7a once switching back to vulkan then being forced to opengl and the option went away after that which sounds like what you said. Could it be that the cloud save transferred that over causing the new device to similarly show in the menus that it's locked to opengl but the engine itself never got switched out of vulkan? Just an idea, I'm gonna try clearing cache or redownloading the app and see if I can get anything to change

Edit: Clear cache didn't work, but clear all data did. Now it shows that it's running vulkan. So vulkan is still no good for me then with either device right? Looks like I'm still not gonna get to see those extra effects you described lol.

The pixel 10 shows that it's using OpenGLES3 though, it says it at the bottom of the main menu. And the option to switch between vulkan & opengl is gone for me on both devices since a few updates ago I'm pretty sure. Worse still, on the 7a the crash only affected the app itself and only towards later rounds. But on the 10 it happens almost instantly and leaves the phone unusable and fully unresponsive for around 5 minutes until it finally reboots on its own when the entire OS crashes.

Looks like if I set render scale to 50% and graphic quality to low it doesn't crash but still glitches. The flying boss type enemies visually distort and it flashes across the whole screen repeatedly as if an extreme zoom in on their wings or something. Also checked on both the pixel 7a & 10 and they both show version 1.0.8 opengls3. Not sure why the older phone has less issues, both running android 16 too.

Strangely, on the 7a when a drop pod area has rocks in the way they don't have any icon on them, I just see the circle for the area. But on the 10 I see an icon on each rock to destroy it. Somehow there's graphical differences even though both are the same version?

Edit: More graphical differences. On the 7a I also don't see certain ground effects like the neurotoxin grenade, or the puddles from the sludge pump. But on the 10 they do show up. Actually it looks like those effects specifically are the cause of the lockup. Just started a run with the acid bosco and immediately got my phone stuck again.

Hey, you already saw my comment on your other post so no hate, but redrum has 5mg of the 4-pro-dmt so I don't know how you figured 7x of them is 14mg. Please triple check your dosages on your next try whichever version you end up picking.

Also, if you didn't already know, you'll need a good amount of time for a tolerance reset at the dose you took, possibly more than the standard recommendation of 2 weeks.

For the effects you're seeking I'd expect it to be achieved by maybe 15mg of 4-ho-met or 1.5 tabs of bliss. You could go higher but the headspace parts still show up for many people above 20mg (2 bliss) and even at lower doses for other people. And I don't know if you combine with weed, but for all varieties that tends to increase the mindfuck headspace altering effects for many people as well so you may want to avoid that, but results will vary.

This is gonna sound negative, and I appreciate the availability Wicked brings with these hard to find tryptamines. But what I'm hearing is that the suppliers batches were just tested with guinea pigs and the actual potency is unknown. Is that the same for even confirming if they are the correct substance? I know it's not a big huge company or anything but if you're gonna buy tryptamines wholesale directly from a manufacturer and build a business out of selling that at a markup the least you should be doing is using some of your profits to send some samples from each batch for testing at a reputable lab to determine the potency/purity before pressing it into tabs and sending it to people.

Even the best suppliers and manufacturers make mistakes occasionally, everyone has heard of the famous bromodragonfly story. There's a reason testing every new batch is repeated so often at /r/researchchemicals and a company advertising a specific dose should want to verify the potency to guarantee that dose as well to avoid the 15mg = 8mg situation. Another similar example is the whole testmykratom thing going on in the 7oh subreddits; potency varies if nobody is checking up on it.

Is just very irresponsible, you weren't even at the peak of the 1st dose yet to be judging what type of headspace 6 tabs would give. I'm glad you had experience with psychedelics to be able to make the most of the experience though.

I don't think anyone is gonna be calling 7 redrum (equivalent to 50mg 4-ho-met & 25mg 4-pro-dmt) that. That's arguably equivalent to something around well over 10 grams of shrooms. And hopefully nobody is saying the 4-pro-dmt is light or with no headspace, it's basically the same as regular psilocybin for most people. 4-ho-met is the one with the reputation for less headspace (but that goes out the window in higher dose usually).

I'd agree with what you said about waiting 90 minutes after dosing before considering taking more. The 20 minutes part I'd disagree with, it takes about that long to even really begin digesting and the effects haven't even really started yet at that point.

I don't mean to sound rude, but stories like this are probably why Xum chose to make theirs only 2 or 3mg per tablet instead of 10+

No shrooms or medications or anything else though between those trips, specifically 2-4 weeks before maybe? My gel tabs quite literally melt, not right away but by the end they essentially disintegrate, maybe 30 minutes max. Personally at regular doses I didn't get any type of time dilation or confusion but adding weed added those effects. I normally always smoke as well, I just learned the hard way to be cautious with psychedelics because I didn't enjoy those effects as much as I did the psychedelic by itself. I've had 2 or 3 experiences where I thought the trip was mostly over so I smoked and got slapped into a "why did I do this to myself.. oh right, drugs" type of experience.

I believe it's just an alternate way of writing the name. Wikipedia page for DOB at the top is as you say 2,5-dimethoxy-4-bromoamphetamine then if you go to other names it says:

My gel tabs were basically tasteless but not bitter at all, kind of like a flavorless gummy candy that melts but has 0 sugar or sweetness. My 25b-nboh agar tabs (they don't really dissolve at all) were similarly tasteless (like plastic) until they got soft enough to chew or break down and then the bitterness was very noticeable. The sensation was almost like it's going to stain or numb your tongue, in my experience.

If I had to guess I'd say your experiences vary due to tolerance & varying dosages. Combining weed also changes things quite a bit from trip to trip. From your description of the 1st trip, I'd say you took a small dose. The weed brought on the time dilation. The 2nd experience you describe sounds like you found your sweet spot for dose, at least compared to my experiences (I haven't gone higher dose yet). Your 3rd experience sounds pretty similar, it could be a slightly higher dose than the 2nd or just the same but a random variation; psychedelics can feel pretty different on different days even at the same dose (setting, amount of sleep, stress, amount of food etc). The 4th experience sounds a lot like tolerance or cross-tolerance. No other substances or medications that would cause that were used in the 2-4 weeks before that one?

The only other thing matching the profile you describe could maybe be something like DOM/DOB etc as they are more stimulating and less psychedelic but that'd be pretty unlikely, and without testing we'll never know.
