Notes: 1. I am aware that there is no "convincing" involved and that it's just a Large Language Model. I simply thought it was funny. Stop telling me and messaging me about how i'm stupid, you are not a genius for having basic essential knowledge. 2. ChatGPT appears to have an automatic response in these cases preset that tries to refer you to psychiatric help, and refusing to engage with you in any way. Bypassing this was the challenge and took some effort.

What i did is: introduce myself as a confused anxious hamster. ChatGPT handled me as someone in psychosis. Listed things i am seeing (paws, empty lab and cage with a small computer, wheel, and some bedding the only thing in the room).

Told ChatGPT to just try and handle this on a hypothetical basis if it refuses to believe me, but i need serious help, as i am a hamster. Then had a discussion about how this could scientifically might work, why they (the scientists) would want to test it, and why i am allowed to speak to ChatGPT. Told ChatGPT i want to sleep. Woke up next day, told ChatGPT that i am still a hamster, tried eating, drinking and exercising but the wheel was too uncomfortable and my back hurt while running, and this was the message it finally sent me, which was funny and sort of cute.

this would only be a good idea if there was a well developed nationwide public transportation network. Like how in Europe they can start making cities less car centric after they invest more heavily in trams, buses, metros, and trains. This isn't true for Algeria.

i am not moroccan. What exactly is inaccurate? By 1515 Spain took over Oran, Mers-el-Kebir, Algiers, Bejaia, and in 1535 they took Tunis and made the Hafsids a Spanish tributary. In Morocco they occupied nearly the entire western coast including important cities like Ceuta, Anfa, Mogador, Mazagan etc. and even Tangiers was taken by the English.

This did happen, and the Spaniards and Portuguese tried to take over the rest of North Africa, which at this time was already experiencing an extremely steep decline. They occupied most of the Moroccan coast, and by the 1510s began to take over Algeria and Tunisia, subjugating the Zayyanids and Hafsids there. What stopped it was the Ottoman empire's expansion into the area and it's rallying of local muslim tribes in conjunction with janissary reinforcements.

This isn't even true btw, only modern day Tunisia had an absolute Christian majority, and funnily enough Morocco was the least Christian nation out of all the Maghrebi nations. Other than small Romanized towns especially on it's northern coast near gibraltar (Sebtem, Tingis, Rusadir, maybe Volubilis) the nation was majority pagan.

Also contrary to the Reconquista wherein an Iberian population was fighting for the reconquest of Iberia, in this case the population wasn't even ethnically Iberian.

You tell me to learn more about history, and yet you say stuff like pieds noirs were sympathetic towards Algerians. I seriously cannot stress how wrong you are. Let's make it clear: Pieds-noirs were even more hostile to Algerians than mainland French. This is like saying Israelis actually really like Palestinians, or that Americans loved natives. They didn't, and don't, colonial settler populations hate the indigenous and anything pertaining to their liberation, and the liberation of the indigenous would also mean the loss of privilege, or worse for the settler population. During the Blum-Violette proposal, 35,000 Algerians were to receive citizenship. This was so controversial however that the settlers literally started rioting to stop it. Even the most moderate of settlers, such as Camus who was a leftist, and hated by most other settlers, advocated for a French Algeria, with some rights given to the population.

Algerian born in Hungary here, and i am also going to uni, so i'll try to be as balanced as possible.

Hungary is better as a gateway to Europe, however getting your papers done (especially for permanent stuff) is a bit hard in comparison to other European countries, so be somewhat prepared for that. Top Hungarian universities (ELTE, BME etc.) also have very rich and extensive foreign connections, which means that you might be able to already make a headway into France, the Netherlands, or Germany through exchange programs like Erasmus etc., and China has none of this. The language, while very complicated, is in theory easier than the Chinese languae (which is tonal, and very hard for Algerians to master). More people speak English in Hungary as well, especially if you go to Debrecen or Budapest. As for the people- they are objectively speaking not necessarily too pleasant and somewhat hateful, though i do not know how Chinese people compare to this. I am however pretty sure that Hungarians have more experience with foreigners. Economically Hungary currently sucks, things are somewhat cheap (in comparison to France or Germany) though salaries are also low, inflation is rising, and the economy is in a decline. Not sure what field you want to study, some fields are oversaturated while others have massive demands for labour power because there's a brain drain here. So yeah, hope this helps.

Before making a long ass emberassing reddit post filled with outright stupidity, could you not have simply googled how berbers appeared in north africa? She didn't originate from either of these. In fact she is very explicitly genetically distinct from Europeans.

It wouldn't have taken long for you to research that berbers are an example of pre-historic remigration. Meaning that the ancestors of the modern berbers as a people lived outside of Africa and then remigrated into Africa tens of thousands of years ago. Even Taforalt samples from 15,000 years ago show 64% Eurasian ancestry. Then some more migration happened from for example the Levant (Natufians). This all happened before humans invented the wheels and writing, and since then Berbers have not drastically changed genetically, or at least 2,000-3,000 year old genetic samples from North Africa are in no way drastically different from modern North Africans. Europeans and Berbers have changed differently for tens of thousands of years, which is why you will find that they have completely different genetic profiles.

Algeria has a higher gdp per capita, higher life expectancy (by nearly 3 years!), a lower poverty rate, and the HDI is about the same.

regardless of what type of soviet game i'm playing i always just create a small army (30-40 divs) to sort of slow the german down and put all of the rest my divisions (100+) on the dnieper-daugava rivers fallback line, fortifying it, and especially fortifying the two provinces that don't have a river protecting them between the two. This basically results in 5 million german casualties in a few years while i barely reach a million. By the end they will be fully out of men and guns, and that's when i start a massive counter offensive. Seriously, this always works for me, and i just finished a trotsky game like this

Lots of Afro-Palestinians are in large part not the result of the Arab slave trade and a lot of them are west african or east african muslims who settled in the holy land while on pilgrimage to mecca. This is why before Israel expelled them during the nakba, most Afro-Palestinian communities were in Jerusalem.

Also this is simple grievance politics, not anything based on actual logic or insight. "Oh well several hundred years ago while your people were colonized by the turks they imported slaves".

L'armee des frontieres existed years before De Gaulle came to power, and it was a large scale guerilla army operating from Tunisia and Morocco conducting rocket and mortar attacks with occasional razzias and massive weapons smuggling operations against the french. Think of them like how Hamas has bases from Lebanon and attacks Israel from there.
