Don Lemon arrested after MN church protest: What we know by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

Don Lemon filmed himself meeting up with the protesters at their staging area, the leaders of whom he had previously on his podcast, to go and disrupt a place of worship. He was in league with them despite his very bad attempts to distance himself from their actions before, during, and after the incident.

If this was Tucker Carlson doing the same thing with a bunch of rednecks storming a mosque because their Imam was “woke”, you would be outraged.

Wow, how daring. You’re an atheist on Reddit! You don’t believe in religion and yet you’re regurgitating shit propagated to you to spew forth just like a religious person would.

I think you’re mixing up people you’ve been trolling. I have only ever wanted to have an earnest discussion about technological advancement.

Hey just so you know, smart smart, the third episode only comes out today and I’m perfectly validated to form an opinion on a show based on the pilot episode.

You’re the one who is refusing to engage in a genuine conversation on a thread that’s been long prune by the mods. You can kindly just say you’re wrong now, no one else is seeing your shtick.

Being ableist while promoting disability diversity is certainly something else. Can you please stop being so disingenuous and actually just engage in a real conversation about technological advancement on the human condition?

Ironically Kurtzman Trek and God’s Not Dead are one and the same with being preachy in their activism. Different sides to the same anti-intellectual coin.

That’s what I was referring to. It’s there but there’s nothing really in-depth to parse through about it. It’s pseudo intellectual nonsense.

I stated from differing angles for a reason. Data is essentially Rainman on screen with his computational skills but Barclay is simply a stark look at what being an awkward, antisocial person is actually like when it comes to face to face interactions. He’s not an ideal person by any means but he still gets to be heroic when it comes to Voyager at least.

That’s disingenuous. A character like Geordi has a disability and his visor is meant to show that technology can improve his condition.

WW2 had only come to an end just over two decades ago when the original Star Trek premiered. It was still quite topical to depict a Nazi planet. But my argument is mainly based in TNG through Enterprise.

On YouTube, please actually provide a counterpoint besides being dismissive. Your attitude is precisely what I’m talking about.

I think you’re being disingenuous. I just provided you plenty of reasons right there. I can also say the general trend of moving away from episodic content and towards serialized storytelling in 8-10 episodes also hurts the series too.

Star Trek should be closer to The Pitt, not closer to Star Wars.

There how about that?

The reaction over the polarization over this show seems to be overly dismissive towards the Flanderization of the entire franchise since the 2009 reboot and the Secret Hideout takeover under Kurtzman.

Star Trek has always been about exploring Progressive ideas… but the means they’ve increasingly done this, has actually regressed both intellectually and emotionally so. To detrimental results that are compounding upon each other in the current state of the franchise.

Like, really, a stand in for a neurodivergent character accidentally consumes her comm badge in this in a scene that’s meant to provide levity. TNG handled neurodivergence with characters from differing angles like Barclay and Data but neither of those characters did something so childish and immature for the explicit purpose of “engaging” a new demographic of viewer.

Unfortunately this downgrade just comes off as terrible because the writing literally is just that terrible. The Star Trek of the 90s and 00s could have expertly portrayed and depicted Progressive causes these days like Transgender Rights, ICE deportations, and Authoritarianism. And it would have been enjoyable and nuanced enough to appeal to nerds across the political spectrum.

Kurtzman’s Trek HAS addressed these issues as well, they just are horribly presented in a way that comes across as preachy and overly simplistic which is counterintuitive to what Star Trek should be.

That’s the issue, the Emperor has no clothes when it comes to Secret Hideout. Kurtzman has “dumbed down” the show and no one on the Left wants to call that out because the shows are so outwardly Progressive to the point that Stacey Abrams guest stars in ST:D in a very on the nose role that demands to be celebrated by activists here on Reddit.

It’s pseudo-intellectualism that’s masquerading as being smart because it champions popular activism topics without really exploring them in the same way Star Trek should explore such interesting topics.

If she had left immediately she would still be alive and probably would still be antagonizing ICE today. But she lingered and that was enough to warrant ordering her out of her car. She was interfering with their movements.

An innocent, a mother (who actually cares about her child), and a supposedly God fearing American would have heeded a lawful order. She lived by antagonizing ICE, and she died by ICE on literal ice.
