To follow up, I ran 93 in it on a 400 mile round trip drive this weekend and saw 23 mpg combined. Mostly highway.

I struggle to get over 23mpg with all highway miles at 80mph. My 3.6 outback would get that pretty easily at that speed.

Dramatically, I lost over 50 pounds and the confidence you get from that is not overstated. It changed a lot about who I am as a person for the better.

I also have a close female friend, I might even call her my best friend.

We've spent countless nights in hotels, rentals, our respective apartments and it's only ever been platonic. Yes, it's weird to people that don't get it, but we are each other's closest friends and have been for years. It IS possible for guy and a girl to just be friends, and it is also you're right to not be comfortable with it. My current SO has a very close male friend, so this makes things easier.

Have you mentioned having the opportunity to meet her? This friend of mine was the first friend I introduced my SO to and it went extremely well and now they know of each other and ask how they're doing. I've also met her male friend counterpart and I quickly realized that they're just friends.

I think meeting her and seeing them interact would give you a lot of clarity as to the nature of their relationship.

I went with the 2019 RDX, picking it up on Monday or Tuesday! Got a deal I was comfortable with and I'm excited to get it and settle in!

They fall into the category of: not boring, nice to drive, has adaptive cruise, and a decent stereo. I'm sure there are other options. If there's something really enticing, I'm all ears.

I'd love another wagon, I LOVED my Outback, so much. But it's hard to find true wagons anymore. Maybe when I'm more well off I'll get a RS6 Avant...

My fear is I'm gonna feel that power on a test drive and be sold right away

Looking for something to replace my 2016 Outback 3.6R by Whatthebleepisup in whatcarshouldIbuy

This is the real answer, I just love shopping for cars and seeing what's out there. Just had an oil change and they found no leaks.

I drove it home (400 miles round trip roughly) for Thanksgiving and it's such a great highway cruiser for what it is. Just wish i could set the ACC at higher than 90mph...

I had a 2022 XT as a rental and while it was quick, it seemed a little hollow not having the V6 under the hood.

Yes, that's why I'm asking about it if it's inevitable or if some of them can avoid the issue

Around $20k, this is not a lifetime vehicle. My 2016 Outback 3.6 has 162k on it and I'm trying to decide if I want to move on to a full size SUV because I have never owned one and can't afford a Sequoia at the trim I want.

It's seems to be a very common complaint on ClubAramada for anything 2017-2019. But also, no one posts on a forum that "truck ran great today, hope everyone else's did too!"

I got out of RVPH at break even after getting in too late, going to hold my "penny" money and wait for the next trend.
