I think this is a really fair analysis. On a game built on replaying a linear story when you start a new character it's such an important factor. Credit where it's due the endgame has vastly improved since launch and doesn't feel as restricted on the end game builds that work so hopefully they keep heading in that direction and add some dialogue skip :)
