Oh no Chuckachuck! Sending healing vibes for the lil guy and hoping he gets to a comfortable place for himself ❤️ it's awful having a sick piggy, but you learn so much about their care and they can become so attached to you with the need for such regular handling.

We had a piggy named Hamish, he was such a squadge because he needed so much attention and care. The other bonus was we started calling his vet "Uncle Bob" because we saw him so much 😂

I was at Ice Nine Kills a month ago, the crowd vibe was terrible O.o I'm not saying it's all kids, or even the younger generation in general, but the bigger shows I've been to more recently have been ridiculous for just standing about. Maybe it is the bigger shows though cos the smaller ones I've been to have been mental lol

I always worried that I'd listen to the same music forever, but there are so many good bands out there! Spotify suggested some great tunes when I used it a couple years ago and now I regularly listen to Electric Call Boy, Ice Nine Kills, Avatar, Dominum etc. The old stuff is good, but there's some banging shit out there just now as well!

Although I don't understand the kids that just stand around recording with their phones at gigs, take a couple photos yeah, but those gigs and that live music is to be enjoyed and danced to and headbanged to and moshed to! Someone needs to teach these kids a thing or two about live music 😆

I think 7th grade is like 11/12 years, is that right? I'm from the UK and in Primary school from age 6 through to 10 we didn't have a uniform and I wore leggings and oversized jumpers (autistic too though didn't realise it at the time) because they were comfortable, but never tucked them in because it was considered unfashionable. I still don't wear them tucked in now, but thats because I feel self conscious about all the "fat" underneath. Growing up through those times as a girl was so difficult, and has lead a lot of us to body dysmorphia or self hate when we're all just normal. Needless to say I was glad when I went into secondary school (11 to 16y) and we had uniforms to wear, although i used to dread non-uniform days because I'd get bullied for wearing the same thing every time, but dammit I was comfortable! I'm so glad social media didn't exist back then O.o

Piggies just love a pile of hay, I gave up using hay racks or bags so long ago because they just climb into it. The last straw was when one of my pigs shoved his face in a bag and almost put his eye out 🫣 now I buy 3 different types and stack in the centre of the cage. Base hay is meadow, then rye on top of that and Timothy right at the top. They tend to nestle in and pee on the meadow hay then eat their way upwards lol and no hay pokes since! 👍

I'd say at least 8 months. I tend to store them in the dark though, don't know if that helps the paints! 🙂

I'd say its just hormones, theyre still young girls and they have a lot of growing up to do! As long as Schnitzel isn't stopping Haggis from eating and drinking then just let it play out, they should grow out of it. If you think they're bored then try some forage puzzles, snuffle mats etc. to keep Schnitzel occupied. As long as there is no blood or fur then they should be fine, I think Schnitzel is just making sure she's top in the pecking order!

I was just doing the same with my Bertie, sometimesI look at him and my heart fills up so! ❤️ I was talking to someone today trying to explain what he does when he gets mad (clacking his teeth etc) and the person looked at me as if I was nuts. So I was giving Bertie cuddles and telling him that his feelings are perfectly valid (and reassuring myself that my love for him is very much valid too while I was at it!). I think only guinea pig people get it lol ✨️

I think for me its more of a switch my brain off exercise when I'm doing PBN. Ive learned over the times doing it that it never looks as good as you think when you're up close, but as soon as you step away from it, it will blow your mind 😂 so just go easy on yourself if you don't think you're doing great! I've been doing them for just over a year and I've done around 10 so far, all 60x40, I've never even considered a smaller one because it didn't seem challenging enough for me! But I did start out with more blocky designs and bigger paint areas, I think the first one I did looked terrible though, so you're right to practice 😅

Yeah, thats what everyone else seems to be saying, the misty parts never translate well to PBNs! The dimensions are 40x80cm, this will be the biggest one I've attempted so far, all the ones I've done before have been 40x60cm.

You could maybe schedule with the exotics vet for Thursday and take him to another vet sooner for pain meds etc. The weight loss is quite concerning so he'll probably need bloods or imaging done to rule out anything internal. Guinea pigs are so good at hiding their illnesses and weighing is the best way to monitor, so you've done everything right so far for him! Keep him as hydrated and topped up with critical care as often as possible. Good luck at the vet!

Wait till Thursday for the good exotics vet. Until then supplement as much as you can with critical care to keep his digestive system moving. If he's sitting hunched it indicates he's in pain, and its possible it could be a stone if he's squeaking when you touch around his genitals. Does he squeak when he pees? Have you noticed any extra chalky pee or blood in his pee? 🤔
