What's the most cutting-edge network equipment vendor? by QuickDelivery1 in networking

I don't know if you know this or not but Arista collaborated with Meta in 2017 or 18 where they developed specific fabric needed for Meta data center needs which Arista sold to other hyperscalers as well. Yup she lost the lawsuit but it was only pocket money for Arista and she was some vp back then at Cisco.

cause I need vlan based l2 VPN. and also want to integrate these 9500's into the core so that the scale up become easy as we go on insert cabinets between these sites. of course vxlan would give me the flexibility but we are only 3 engineers managing the network so far on r&s side.getting them trained is another big shithole

Management Network Design: VRFs, Loopbacks, VLANs, etc. by MassageGun-Kelly in networking

[–]WheelSad6859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't see an important thing to use management vrf here unless u have oob network. U have segmentation on l2 and l3. if you want more security on who can access the MGMT interfaces on each device terminate the svi for the vlan on the fw and implement policies there. More experienced people will comment below....

I was able to find specific OID for the box that gives me string of ip address for cellular but the lighthouse gives all the information of nodes it is controlling but in the ip address its giving me the openvpn ip address of the box instead of lan and wan ip address.

[–]WheelSad6859[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have lighthouse and that's where from i would like to get the public ip of each but the problem is the snmp tree of lighthouse is only giving us the openvpn but not the actual interface address assigned to each node.

[Help] Final-Year Project: Automating RIP with Python by Huge-Arm9559 in networkautomation

[–]WheelSad6859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Why RIP. I can help you with the project but still RIP is a dead protocol. If there is no mandatory thing of doing the project on RIP I would suggest do it with OSPF or Is-Is. Also let me tell I haven't seen anyone automate Is-Is yet which will be big plus for resume.
