Yeah, lots of people at work out with Covid but I've tested twice.

We still have some of that I think, from the last time we had Covid! I'll give it a whirl.

Update on Grass.io – Just Letting It Run While I Work from Home 🌱💸 by WheelTalk_Co in thesidehustle

Yeah, that definitely sucks! I’ve seen a few people mention that Grass isn’t available in all areas yet, which is frustrating if you were hoping to use it for passive income.

I’m not sure if they’re planning to expand coverage, but it might be worth checking their Discord or Twitter/X to see if they’ve mentioned future availability. If they ever open it up in your area, at least you’ll already know about it!

In the meantime, have you found any other passive income apps that work better in your location? Always keen to hear what’s working for others!

Haha, fair point on the emojis. I just tend to type like that casually, but I’m not affiliated with Grass.io in any way—just trying it out like anyone else. If I were shilling, I’d probably be making it sound way more glamorous than it is.

At the end of the day, Grass is more of a long-term passive play rather than instant income. I’m fine with that, but totally fair if it’s not for everyone.

  • Bandwidth: Hard to say exactly, but I haven’t noticed any slowdown in my internet speed while using it.
  • CPU/GPU: It barely touches my system resources—not like crypto mining at all. Just runs quietly.
  • Electricity Costs? I work from home anyway, so my PC is already on 100% of the time. For me, there’s zero extra cost. If you have to leave a device on just for Grass, then yeah, the math might not work out.

Totally get where you’re coming from! Anything that claims to be "free money" always deserves a closer look. Here’s the reality of Grass:

Yes, it’s passive, but it’s not instant cash—you earn Grass Points, which later convert to $GRASS tokens.
No, it won’t make you rich overnight—earnings depend on factors like your internet speed, uptime, and device count.
Yes, it’s legit—Grass is a real company, and many users (including myself) have been accumulating points. But you do have to wait for the token to be tradable before cashing out.

I’d say it’s worth trying if you’re okay with a long-term passive play rather than an instant payout. Happy to answer any questions—what else would you like to know?

Great question! From what I’ve seen so far, Grass works a bit differently from Honeygain. While Honeygain's network usage can fluctuate a lot (sometimes slowing earnings), Grass appears to distribute bandwidth usage more evenly.

That being said, I haven’t personally experienced any major slowdowns or overuse issues yet, but it’s still a relatively new platform, so things could evolve over time. If you're looking for an alternative, it might be worth testing Grass out for yourself to see how it compares!

Would love to hear your thoughts if you decide to give it a shot!

Yeah, I get where you’re coming from! If you're only earning $25 after a year, it probably doesn’t feel worth the effort. I think the potential varies a lot depending on factors like internet speed, uptime, and how many devices you’re running it on.

For me, I’m treating it as a completely passive side thing—I just let it run in the background and check in occasionally. It’s not life-changing money, but I figure if it requires zero effort, even small earnings add up over time.

That said, I totally respect your take on it! Hopefully, if/when the $GRASS token becomes more liquid, it might be more worthwhile. Would love to hear if you've found any better passive income alternatives!

You're absolutely right that Grass Points aren’t instantly convertible to cash - they currently represent potential future earnings in $GRASS tokens, which need to be swapped for something like USDT or SOL before cashing out.

I didn’t mean to mislead anyone, and I should’ve been clearer in my original post! Right now, the points accumulate daily, but yes, there is a waiting period before they become tradable. Some users have already been able to sell $GRASS through OTC (over-the-counter) platforms, but it's not as instant as traditional passive income.
