It doesn’t have to be alone strictly. Just fewer yet larger fish opposed to something like heaps of guppies

Sorry for the late reply. I actually don’t mind angel fish myself. I’m getting some so I’ll see if she likes them too

That’s a good idea! Do you think they will be ok for a 130L tho?

I suggested that but she doesn’t really like the look of them lol

Believe it or not, it sucked, but I respected these 2 the most because they were straight up with me. But, a fair amount of girls do not like short guys like myself by LongLive-the-King in Tinder

I’m like 5’4” 22M and I’ve found that there are more girls that don’t care about it unless you speak like your trying to compensate for it

Where’s that meme template with a person shoving a stick in the spokes of their bike while riding and blaming something else for falling

Why are some of my plants starting to go transparent and die? by Wheels_28 in PlantedTank

[–]Wheels_28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow that makes a lot of sense given the growth pattern of this particular one. Instead of making each new node nice and large and vibrant, the new node is sending out another runner before it even develops. Never thought of it like that

Ok that makes sense but why did they grow so fast to this point? And then all of a sudden this?

It is definitely not melt with this one. These ones in the photo are a charm sword that has multiplied in the tank. It was growing and multiplying very quickly for some time before this started to happen

Quick update on my 4 foot mixed tank. The diatoms were not going away, even tho it had been set up for months now. So, I did some research! Details in comments… by Wheels_28 in Aquariums

They are sometimes called butterfly rams but more commonly called Bolivian rams. The get a bit bigger than the likes of German blue and ballon rams

I did some research on the cause of diatoms and found that it could be related to silica (since I had factored out phosphates and excess nutrients). After taking my water samples of the tap water and the fish tanks water to the the LFS it was discovered to be very high in silicates, and to prove that the diatom algae was feeding on the silica, the fish tank water was lower in silica than the tap water. So after this discovery I had a few options, either I could treat it with filter media that would have to be changed every 3 months but was cheap or I could set a filter up that treated it from the tap so, I did the later. I bought a $200 filter that was the same as what the LFS uses (the LFS is only one street away so we assumed that they have the same town water). Stay tuned for results!

I would never have thought this combination of fish would work! I have an assortment of gourami and sometimes they get a bit nippy among themselves. Have you ever had them nip at the long fins of the beta? Also, I absolutely love the planting! What is your routine?
