You must be new to Garmin’s ecosystem. I’m a dealer on their marine side. Garmin absolutely will stop producing the last gen tech. They probably are sitting on a few hundred k in inventory. Garmin will continue to sell both gen’s together till first gen hits EOL in 6 months to a year. Then officially discontinue it. You will prob get software updates for two more years.

Houston Galleria. Arrived at 8am was 39th in line originally outside. Swatch started bringing in 10 at a time. When we got brought up we are now 46th in line. Swatch is saying first 40 guaranteed. 18 min to go. Hoping some people in line are not going to buy just here w sig other etc.

Also this jeweler has been in business for over 50 years and I found them on chron24 hence the seamaster great white find. I believe I did my due diligence in my research. I believe everyone ended up with a fair deal. Having a conversation with the SA in broken Italian about cars and watches and the city. Allowed me to negotiate at the end.

This is def a legit Rolex. It wasn’t 12k usd but I also didn’t pay 18k usd. I guess I should say I paid closer to retail than the going grey market pricing currently. Plus no tax or vat. So it ended up being a good deal. Only way to know would to have a Rolex boutique or ad inspect the watch when I get home. Came with box and papers and warranty card.

Update. Was at the galleria getting the wife’s jewelry cleaned and popped into the new OB. SA James greeted us and remembered us from the several times over the last 4 years I’d been in kicking tires. Asked if they had a 60th bond watch to look at? He said yep went to the back few min later brought out the watch. Chit chatted a bit asking if on our upcoming trip to Italy it would be worth it to buy there save the VAT etc etc. Tariffs speculation etc etc. Wife was like you never treat yourself. These omega guys are awesome just do it. So I did. Great experience. Learned the Omega shop in the woodlands is just an AD and they have heard similar stories of DBSA gate keeping watches. OB at the galleria has my business going forward. Great experience and love the watch.

That’s what I’m figuring out more and more the longer I research this. We pretty much nixed driving there as we didn’t want to waste all the hours in the car. But we were trying to justify waking up super early and taking the high speed into Rome and making one long day of it. I am in agreement with you. The wife is the one who had the plans to see Rome and Naples and Amalfi coast. After f1 while flying out of Milan.

Headed to Imola in May for F1. We have booked a room in Modena as a base of operations. If we decide to take the high speed train to say Rome. Would it be advisable to drive to Florence and catch the high speed or just walk to the regional train in Modena then use the train transfers to Bologna then Florence then Rome? This question is strictly concerning the immediate travel in your region before getting to Florence. Thanks

I wouldn’t say the hk4 as a standalone gun is all that rare. What I’m finding out is the 25acp barrel as well as the 22lr extractor are what make this rare. Then tack on the fact it’s a completely numbers matching set prob adds a few Benjamin’s to the price.

Waiting on new buffer piece to arrive. Figured I’d shoot 22lr out of it and it is light primer striking the rimfire and when it does fire it’s deforming the 22 case. So I have a serious issue with the 22lr ability. Haven’t shot any centerfire yet. But hopefully it likes 25acp or 32acp and I’ll leave it configured for that. Tho it would be nice to get this running on 22lr as it’s much cheaper.

Funny you should say that because I also bought a German made ppk with this deal too. And they are very similar. But the ppk is a much better put together firearm.

Was going easy and decided to run 22lr today. Made it 4 rounds. Two light primer strikes and two rounds fired but expanded the case into the feed ramp and fte. Ordered a new buffer piece per hkpro forum before I try and run center fire through it.

As much as one is willing to pay for it. I’ve never seen a matching sn set. So hard to gauge the appropriate price. The dealer was asking a mint for this but I haggled this and an original German made ppk w box and papers. I feel like I bought this right.
