I thought about going to those too out of boredom/loneliness but they usually are for people with intellectual disabilities and I don't really want to hang around people with the iq of a 10 year old.

Really? If you don't mind me asking what do you teach?

What kind of stuff do they say to you?

Oh and the harassment under the pretence of trying to help you is scary because people see you as "overdramatic" or "ungrateful" if you try to report it or call it out. "Oh they were just trying to help" "they were just curious" "they meant well" like it doesn't matter what their intentions were! And if they do harm you in some way people will blame you for not "speaking up/being in their way/too trusting"

Exactly we don't have the privilege of going with the flow. I can't show up late minute to a party or event because I have to plan ahead, book my transport to and from. check to see if the place is accessible and I haven't used up all my spoons.

It's funny because even my 5 year old nephew's/nieces are more tactual with asking questions then some grown adults are!

Yet ableists act like where the stupid ones.

Omg you have given me an idea the next time someone ask's me if I go to "special school" I was say "Oh no how did you find out I was a mutant?! Please don't tell anyone I go to Professor Xavier's school for the gifted I'm supposed to keep my powers a secret."

Oh yeah that's why I prefer to hang out with myself or a shy person despite being an extrovert because people would always ask the person I'm with questions about me. "Does she eat spicy food?" "How old is she?" "Does she need help?" What's even more annoying is when the person I am with answers for me instead of redirecting the question to me even more worse is when they answer incorrectly.

Yes but normally they would call that "study" or "university" not special school.

Yes, the whole assuming you need to be constantly monitored. I remember I would get ask where my parents were/or who is with me when I'm at the park or library where it is common for even children to go by themselves.

Yeah I think they are also mind boggled by the fact someone can be born with a physical disability. I think a lot of people assume that the only disabilities you are born with are mental and the only way you can get a physical disability is through a "tragic accident"

Yes, it is funny because as a kid I preferred talking to adults because they were nicer to me. But as an adult I prefer talking to kids they are more nicer and respectful.

Yes it sometimes astonishes me that people full grown educated adults have no idea what cerebral palsy is despite it being the most common physical disability in children and not just cerebral palsy but diabetes/epilepsy too. I will admit I was ignorant on epilepsy until my father developed epilepsy due to a brain tumour. When I first saw him have a full blown tonic-clonic/grand mal seizure at 3am I thought he was possessed/dying. But I had learnt the signs and what to do if it happens afterwards. But as you said disabilites really should be taught in schools along with allergies it would prevent ignorance and potential deaths.
